looking to make a dot focused build like warlock

would like a build not so gear dependant so i can level with it and then farm the parts i need
fairly new to the game so not real sure what are the good dots and what devotions to use help would be helpful

The only non-gear dependent build would be a 2h warder. I guess Bleed warder is possible

Trickster with blade spirits, devouring swarm and rend devotion. You can respec it to melee bleed build once you have gear.
