I am planning to go for a 1H+Shield Warlord in FG and while planning I stumbled upon the statement that at least one Soldier WPS (i think it was MA because it has a longer animation?) is a net single target DPS loss.
It’s Zolhan on 2h that’s widely regarded as a dps loss, tho I think the animation has been buffed. Also the dps loss thingy is usually connected to cadence (long animation = slower cadence charging). I imagine you would be using the new autoattack with Warlord where Zolhan animation isn’t much of a deal.
The only way to know for sure is to see for yourself. Do a dummy test. Measure the time it takes you to reset a dummy’s health with and without MA and/or Zoltan.
Keep in mind that MA’s power is in its da shred and Zoltan hits 3 targets. So their power might be somewhat better than what a dummy test might suggest.
0 MA 0 ZT: 135,5 seconds
12 MA 0 ZT: 139 seconds
12 MA 12 ZT: 140 seconds
0 MA 12 ZT: 147 seconds
my conclusion:
-if you have another source of DA Reduction MA is detrimental.
-ZT might still be worth the DPS loss because it deals AoE Dmg and it has a slower attack debuff.
He did. The animation is still affected by attack speed but they’re still slower compared to a normal attack since the WPS animation consists of more frames than normal attacks.
@ya_: yes, but its only one second and that’s not enough. @superfluff and x1: thanks for the clarification. If it’s affected by attack speed I do not understand why it’s more noticeable at high attack speed. But does not matter in the end. You can definitely also feel it at low attack speeds.
