Mark of Dreeg is a component and is doing 10 reduced targets resistance 5 seconds.
Plaguebearer’s is a prefix that can spawn on an item type that Mark of Dreeg can be applied. It grants 17 reduced targets resistance.
I know that you cannot have 2 stacking sources of X reduced resist (not X%).
But my question is if MoD is applied to the same weapon with Plaguebearer’s prefix will you get 17+5 =22 reduced resistance? You would get that because they come from the same item rather than from say MoD and War Cry/Break Morale as more clearly separate sources.
It won’t stack cause they’re still from different sources even though they’re on the same item. Also, I think the two have different durations, haven’t really checked.
Another case of this is on affixes. Something like Plaguebearer’s Theodin Marcell staff will have 2 instances of RR on the same item where only 1 will take effect.
Thanks. I was afraid of that. But that’s only a property of the RR right? I mean if I put a component that does flat poison damage that would stack with poison damage from the affixes (or otherwise poison damage as on unique)? It’s just RR that works different?
Yes. It’s just the RR property. If you have say, a weapon with poison dmg for 5 seconds with an affix giving poison for 3 seconds then one of them adjusts the values so that they can stack with the same duration. At least that’s what I think I saw, I’m still not sure on the exact mechanics.
