Sometimes a cluster of Wolf Dens can be very useful in regards to hides and meat. Trying to build a fence to keep the wolves under control often leads to villagers swarming the wolf dens and destroying them and even low speed micro managing can not avoid it.
Could we get the option of marking Wolf Dens to be “preserved”?

I will be sitting here with a Guard Tower and a hunter singning:" Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf" while raking in the hides. Maybe putting in a verse about capitalism or something.
I think farming wolves is supposed to be pretty janky. If they made it easier in the way you are suggesting, and thus obviously intended, then it would need to be balanced by massively reducing how rewarding it is. Unless you are very careful with your setup it is best to think of farming wolves as an early game food boost until you establish less fragile sources of food.

A mass of wolf dens should be Either Or: if you have more than 5 - 6 in a cluster you get 0 Deer spawns on that third of the map. Masses of Wolves OR Masses of Deer, you can’t have both.
