Medicinal Herbs (200) consumed in 1 month

I have an apothecary shop setup with 1 worker and a hospital with 2 workers.

I have medicine made an in stock and no sick patients.

I am out of medicinal herbs so I buy over 200 from a trader and transfer it to global. I see these show up in my inventory.

Within 1-2 months and a population of 350, all the medicinal herbs are gone. About 20 made it to the Apothecary. The rest are gone. These are not showing in citizen or building inventory.

The apothecary shop can only make about 15 medicine a year per worker. Each batch only takes 1 herb so something is happening to the herbs.

If you buy them, they should be on the way. I noticed same thing yesterday with Honey. As well check if you have free storage capacity.

So herbs are stocked by the apothecary, but they are also stocked in homes. That is likely where they went.

Thanks for the reply. I will do some more testing. I will stockpile like 1,500 in the trading post and then release them. That should be more than the houses could stock. I will let you know the results.

On a related note: A nice feature would be a “global” resource control. The purpose of this would be to set rules / restrictions on items.

For example, block the consumption or use of raw meat when smoked is available / restrict it to only the smokehouses. In early game this would be off but as you get your city going, you can turn this on.

Likewise restrict the use of medicinal herbs to the Apothecary. (In some games these are a very rare resource and having them auto-hoovered makes the shop useless)

Set minimum levels on raw resources. IE Do not use stone / logs / planks etc. for construction if levels are below X. This ensures minimal stores are maintained for maintenance.

Could also be used to set maximums. IE make arrows until 1000. Stop making bread at X. This could help prevent massive surpluses from being made and in the case of bread, long last grain being turned into short lasting bread that will go to waste.

This could be a nice centralized sudo micro management function.

In any event, I will let you know the results of the testing.

Thanks,
