[Mod Compilation] [DAIL]

Was also wondering if the different modes are compatible for multiplayer? If not, is it possible for me to just re-run the installer and switch to another mode in order to trade with another player, and then just re-run it again to switch back to my original mode? I’m unsure if this would cause issues with my characters.

I am honestly not sure.

Since people do not properly name their rooms, it is very difficult to know if people are running the same version and/or modes. I know for a fact I have not been able to connect to a single game yet.

All I can tell is if someone is running Dail, unless they name their rooms properly, it is difficult to test. The author would probably know.

this is a good question

i honestly dont like the fact that i’m offering 6 version of the mod. everyone should play with full spiders in B mode  /sarcasm.

i’m not sure how to solve it atm

I really don’t think you can. At least not from an easy, no programming required, mode (and god knows I can’t help anyone on that account). But much like details on the mod page on the Nexus, and the tooltips in the game, people do not seem to bother reading.

I think the problem will solve itself as the more stable versions are released and people will have less “options” with the experimental downloads. Not everyone is keeping themselves updated with the “beta” versions.

B mode has definitely been fun so far. Even with a GTX 970 I’ve had fairly large frame-rate drops in certain areas so I’m honestly too scared to try S mode :stuck_out_tongue: If someone playing on a mode other than B would like to test out whether the different modes are compatible or not though I’m online and free to test it out at the moment.

Which version do you run?

Currently running B mode.

No, no. Which version? 36, 39, 40, 41?

Updating to version 41 right now, just waiting on the download to finish.

Tell me when you’re done. Install version B, I have version S running. I’ll make a room and so we should be able to know quickly enough.

Install is finished, let me know when the game is up.

It’s up. Name : Dail 0041S test

Doesn’t seem to be showing up, although I’m actually not getting a single game showing up in my server list. I might try reinstalling DAIL on S mode and then try again, will let you know if it shows up then in a minute or two.

Be sure that your filters are on Custom games and not Grim Dawn.

Got our answer: I was on S mode install, he was on B mode. He could not connect. He installed S mode and could.

So you need to have the same version and the same mode installed.

Doesn’t seem like the different modes are compatible. I was unable to join the S mode game with B mode installed, got an error message saying I have the wrong version installed. Trading should still be possible, one player will just have to switch to the other players mode for the trade.

How do you get devotion points in Rift mode? There used to be an NPC that gave me a repeatable quest for devotion points and a free level after every rift clear and after updating DAIL he’s gone.

Apparently the trainer is for base game classes. Features in older version like enable console commands, ignore requirements, etc around 5.95 or close used to work with mods. Now you only can change maximum level, add attribute points, add devotion points, and add skill points.[/QUOTE]

If you use CE, you can replicate the same thing the trainer does. Simply search 4 byte for the number of mastery points you have invested in a mastery, then add one and search again. Once you have the address, you can set it to 0 and it will let you choose a new class. (P.S. Don’t forget to remove all the skill points first.)

problem lies in teh fact that i modify base game… i will stop doing that as of 0042

please see this preview of what im doing for 0042. i may need a hotfix but 0042 will be stable release damnit.

  • = not done yet

0042 - planned stable release
component vendors not selling anything … sorry about this. anyway its fixed.
*ADD Trevor Manson to credits for names, and use up a component vendor placeholder slot with his name
*ADD Oleg Martynov to credits for names, and use up a component vendor placeholder slot with his name
*review cornucopia affixes -> need to remove “corn” or “_corn” from them. we are overwriting not duplicating mk
*check for baron wradlith in spined cove - fix if needed
*rebuild all the DAIL folders and updaters and set it up with 21 folders (yuck YUCK YUCK YUCK) so that version compatibility can actually happen no more base game modding
*Release the (H)arlequin. update it later

Not sure if this issue is caused by DAIL or the map/rift mod itself, but the Soul Collector NPC in the rift hideout appears to be bugged. Clicking on him currently does nothing.
