should be pretty silent from me after that unless bugs or updates from modders.

I installed latest experimental version (vers 41) and when I load a main game , all item skills get a NameTag Not Found Error. (then i have to verify game files and redownload from steam to get everything back to normal).
Happened also with vers 41.

Any suggestions?

I was able to replicate the bug with turtle shell in multiplayer. As long as you play the normal campaign it won’t happen, however if both players have it activated and on an active skill and enter the Survival mode, before the first wave finishes, one of the players will have it bugged and on him 100% of the time. I am not sure only if it’s needed for one of the players to drop to the threshold of turtle shell to start bugging out. This is how it happened on 2 of my chars. After this point when you go back to the normal world the bug persists there also.
Survival mode barrier (door) is buggy in multi. Only the host can enter the arena, for the other player there is an invisible wall. When the waves start the barricade appears and the only way to enter for the 2nd player is to exit and rejoin while the wave is happening. If you join after it finishes you can’t join just like before. Also if you are not the host and leave the arena, you sometimes can’t go in again.
Also the Lust for carnage sharing with enemies bug started the same way - on Survival mode. It didn’t happen before I went there and after that it continued on the main campaign. I have a feeling that it’s not only this that my char shared with enemy mobs as a friend of mine stated that the enemy waves became harder just as I neared him. Maybe other passive from the Terror knight flow to them and I only know of Lust for carnage, because it has a visible effect.
The version is 41, but the 1st time I noticed that bug with turtle shell was from a version a little above 30, which makes me think it is coming from the Survival mod, since it’s starts from there like the other with Lust for carnage.
Prior to ver 41 I had GD reinstalled so I don’t think the install was messed up due to modification. And this goes for my friend - he did get the turtle shell bug once I respeced mine…

i was inspecting the lua code for survival mode. he triggers the quests and stuff using the codes for the main-game quests. there are multi player versions of all of the quests and triggers. I will add it to my research for 0043. im not gonna fix it for 0042

More feedback! (oh no, not her again :eek:)

  • A loading-screen hint for the ā€œGood looking modā€ that tells you to check the corpse outside Devil’s Crossing (that feature was changed and the npc was moved to Outcast room)
  • A loading-screen hint for the omega-mod tells you to talk to the NPC in Devil’s Crossing to start the quest - but it omits the detail about it only working in Ultimate - should probably be added!
  • Would you consider adding an 1-million iron bits option to buy exp for from your custom characters (seeing as 100 000 bits is the highest at the moment).
  • Will you invent a new use for the skeleton key now that it’s completely obsolete with SoT/BoC gates gone?
  • I saw you are going to correct the custom-mastery aug vendors in the next version - will you also correct their vendor formulas? Yesterday I could sell a belt to them for 4.1 million iron bits. They buy all gear at very high prices. I’m currently at 40 million iron bits due to this ā€œbugā€ (while I should have been at around 5 million otherwise). It invalidates bothering to open chests and sell to normal vendors completely. I hope it will be changed!

There is currently a 1 million iron bits option I believe.

In regards to the bug Mood encountered, there’s also another potential issue due to the ā€œgambleā€ option with the rift/mapping vendor, as you’re basically guaranteed to make more than you spend. While it’s definitely a lot more tedious than the bug Mood has found, I feel like it’s still fairly broken simply due to the fact that you can spend Iron Bits to gain levels. I’m currently level 35 and already have 5 million, which isn’t really insane, but it’s definitely far more than you’d normally have by that point.

DAIL 41, crashes to desktop everytime while hovering cursor over the new blueprint in the inventory.
GD Stash confirms the error upon loading save: ā€œFile , page 0: item records/items/crafting/blueprints/weapon/craft_weapon_apprentice_staff01.dbr not found in databaseā€
Don’t know though whether it’s DAIL or Grim Quest error.
And some minor stuff:

  • Terror Knight’s skill icons shifted a bit up and to the left
  • Elementalist tab has the same shift on half of the icons and some info of skill ā€œRuptureā€ is ā€œTag not foundā€

Its the prefix/affix that adds the skill Plague of Consumption to the item that turned it purple. The item boots of unseeing swiftness is an epic.

I believe the issue with the Rupture icon is caused by the stand-alone Elementalist mastery mod, I’ve mentioned it in the thread over there before. Pretty sure he said he’s updated it in the Zenith mod, but the stand-alone mod isn’t updated. Either Davood will have to pull from the Zenith mod or maybe the standalone will get updated at some point. Regardless, the ability still works, the tooltip is just bugged. You can see the correct tooltip in the replies section of the standalone Elementalist mod thread I believe.

Yeah, I figured it was something that might have to be changed on his end, but I just wasn’t 100% sure where to post it as it seems like a bigger issue when used with DAIL due to the ability to purchase xp. I suppose very few people would be using the standalone version of VGA rather than DAIL anyway, and it’s not really gambling if you’re basically guaranteed to profit regardless of what you can buy with what you win :stuck_out_tongue:

In any event, I’ve updated the standalone download for the Elementalist too to include a fixed tooltip.

considering for how long that has been in and this is the first time I have read about it… says alot about feedback in these forums :smiley:
its a placeholder, I wanted to make it interesting enough before I add all that other loot to it and give a possibility to make money with essences thats a little more interesting than just selling them.
Its probably going to change with v0.4.0 since thats the update where alot of the item grinding is added, so far DGA hast mostly been about drops to open higher tiers. That reminds me, I should probably start a poll about what tier people are running, otherwise that grind is going to be insanely hard or way too easy.
Since I dont have the time to play my own mod I cant really test it myself :smiley:

Would it be possible to have the GQ staves play nicely with the skills that require ranged weapons? To my understanding they’re supposed to be to guns/crossbows/pistols as daggers/scepters are to regular ranged weapons, a more caster oriented option that has only magical damage. As it is only Ternion Attack from Spirit mastery really uses them, the other masteries that care about ranged weapons (Ranger, Engineer) doesn’t consider them 2-handed ranged weapons. This isn’t surprising since they’re from different mods without staves, but it would be nice to be able to consider using a staff at all, right now every single one is a wasted drop in my eyes. Surprisingly enough Demolitionist’s Fire Strike does work correctly already.
