[MOD] Diablo 3 Classes: Patch 5.3 Released

Oh, thank you.
I tried to search in this thread, but failed to find.
I’ll dig in older threads, then !
Again, thank you for the great job, and the fun.

Well, on 85th level the Smite with buffs and right Constellations has a 41.5k DPS (inflicting damage to several enemies), not counting Resistance Reduction.

Oh, very nice !
On my shaman i got have from 52K+ to 65K with proc (all self).
But again, i admit that a 41,5K dps Smite can be superior to 50 or 60K dps from Primal strike.
So many factors affect skill impact , both its own parameters and the situation itself (open space or small rooms, etc…).

Anyway, thank you for the information : i’m even more impatient to test this by myself, now

PS : if u have any tips to share about Akarat’s drop, i’ll grab them too

Random trivial thing that I noticed with the Crusader: tooltip for Heavenly Strength is misspelled. “This ability must be toogled to maintain”.

I don’t know how you can get 50k+ dps with Smite.

I tried a Crusader/Arcanist with Smite as main skill and dps indicates 24400 with buff :frowning: .
I’ve got 3 pieces of Ulzuin set, Warpfire (for the RR), Peerless EoB (+1 all skills)
with +1311% fire, +957% lightning and +179% cast speed.

The difference in DPS is so huge compared to yours. :frowning:

I play as a Wizard+Crusader, using Wizard’s buffs to improve elemental damage. I also have the Panetti’s Wand, parts of Iskandra’s set and Invoker’s rings. As for devotions, you should get the Blind Seer and Rowan’s Crown. And right now my DPS is 41.5k.

Wow, impressive ! May i ask the base damage from smite (in tooltip) please ? I feel like my fanatic (Crusader + soldier) will be very far from such damage …

Thx for your feedback M1litarist.

Even with the respec, I can’t get more than 33k dps… (+1576% Fire, +1353% Lightning, 187% Cast Speed)
I checked the Ulzuin parts, stats seems better than Iskandra for a fire/lightning skill like Smite so I kept them.

  • I use Widow (RR), Solael Witchblade (RR), Rhowan’s Crown (RR), Blind Sage (DPS) and Behemot (Def) in devotion.
  • Astral Presence & Magic weapon in Wizard tree (the only other buff is Dominance but I don’t use it).
  • For debuff in Crusader tree, Consecration transmuter

I can’t get better.

Look for the Akkhan’s set, especially the Pauldrons of Akkhan (+2 to Smite and Shatter)

Oh yes, I know Akkhan’s set will be better than my actual gear but I just droped the legging part for now ^^.

P.S : Grimer, do you think you will update Witch Doctor’s spiders in the next patch ?

Yea, increase their attack/move speed a little.

Ok thx.
The casting animation too (there is like 2 seconds between the click and the spawn of the spiders on the ground) ?

Are you Planing to rename your mod Necromancer class. Ore its OK to stay with 2 equal names ?

Not much, just gonna add “D3” before the class name.

Suggestion: Can you please add that stashspace and no cost shrine mods. I haven’t played in awhile but I do remember trying this some time ago and loved it but I cannot play this game without those base mods and I don’t know how to mod. I’ve played DAIL mostly when I WAS playing this game because those base mods are in there by default but I’d rather play these classes.

Hey Grimer. I’ve noticed all the WD changes in the changelog. What did you end up doing with the WD skill ‘Poison Dart’? You have expressed your disdain for the skill both in D3 and the one you made for GD (heh). Did you replace it with all the new work I’ve noticed in the changelog or will it get a buff? IIRC you admitted the skill is not very fun and others expressed how weak it is even with uber poison % dmg.

Oh, and yes, at least I am checking the changelog daily and have noticed all the great work and massive changes happening. Keep at it, but please do not delay much longer. I’m getting anxious to play my hardcore monkey with the reworked ‘Crippling Wave’. I’m also looking forward to trying a hardcore Wizard. FWIW, I predict 1.08 release on the 1st.

p.s. – I too would like to see the mod ‘Stasher’ integrated.

I’m gonna make a post about the Witch Doctor later today, Ziyon. (yes, goodbye Poison Dart)

About the Stasher, I guess Grimarillion has it already and D3 is part of Grimarillion, but I can merge it here as well.

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to your Witch Doctor post.

Greetings.

“Patch 2.0? Where is Patch 1.08?”
Well, the new patch is getting bigger week by week. Several improvements are being made to all classes. New visual effects has been created, masteries will have a bit more of “D3 identity”. With this patch, the mod will pratically reborn, so let’s turn the page and call it 2.0.

Witch Doctor

Pets buffed, two new skills, Poison Dart removed and Wall of Death changed (again). Recently, Witch Doctor has been left aside, so your feedback was great to help me make some of these improvements.

Pet Skills

Zombie Dogs: Finally, Zombie Dogs respawn is fixed. When they are alive, now you can summon all of them again, instead of just one (silly fix, though. My bad, thanks Hydra for it). Base health increased, now it’s similar to Occ’s Hellhound.

Corpse Spiders: Throw angle reduced, now the jar releases the spiders more quickly. Attack speed increased at higher levels. Move speed increased at all levels.

Fetish Army: Attack and move speed increased at all levels. Base health increased, now it’s similar to Shaman’s Primal Spirit. Modifier “Tiki Torchers” removed, now it’s the Fetish Army’s RoP.
Tiki Torchers → At level 12, the summon limit is increased to 10, with a chance to summon Fetish Shamans. Now their fireballs travel in a straight line.

Vengeful Spirit: The spirits summoned by Soul Harvest now scales with player bonuses.

Wall of Death: Now it’s definitely a horizontal Wall of Fire that burns enemies and reduces their damage over 5 seconds. It no longer traps enemies. This is a job for the following skill.

Grasp of the Dead

Ghoulish hands reach out from the ground, slowing enemies movement and dealing acid damage every second. 6 seconds duration. 3 seconds cooldown.

Desperate Grasp: Grasp of the Dead also poison enemies over 3 seconds and has a chance to trap them for 1 second.

Death is Life: Grasp of the Dead drains life from enemies over 3 seconds. Enemies killed by Grasp of the Dead has 50% chance to summon a level 16 Zombie Dog over 30 seconds. 5 seconds cooldown. Up to 3 dogs can be summoned.

Piranhas

New Tier 9 skill. Summon a pool of deadly piranhas that deals vitality damage every 0,5 seconds. Affected enemies have their total resistance and defensive ability reduced over 5 seconds.
6 seconds duration.
12 seconds cooldown.

Acid Cloud

Cooldown removed. Damage rebalanced. 2 new modifiers.

Lob Blob Bomb: Releases poison bombs that bounce and explode dealing acid and poison damage to nearby enemies over 3 seconds.

Acid Rain: Just turned into a modifier. Damage rebalanced.

Soul Harvest / Firebomb / Horrify

New visual effects added.

Soul Harvest: It no longer has a 1 second delay to inflict damage.

Firebomb: Throw angle reduced. Now it travels and explodes faster. Damage will be buffed, probably (still working on it).

Horrify: Radius increased at lower levels.

Bonus

Crusader: Heaven’s Fury reworked (actually, the current one is just a placeholder). Now it’s a beam of holy light that seeks enemies, dealing holy damage and reducing their defensive ability over 5 seconds (a holy Wind Devil). 10 seconds duration. 5 seconds cooldown.

Wizard: I got to make Hydra better. That firespit is more of fireshit. New transmuter will be added: The Frozen Hydra.

Storm Armor now shocks all enemies around you. It deals lightning damage, electrocutes enemies with a chance to stun them for 2 seconds and grants lightning retaliation. I think it’s not ̶w̶e̶a̶k̶ useless anymore.

Black Hole will have 2 new transmuters.
Blazar: Turns damage into fire (Done)
Supermassive: Turns damage into lightning (Not yet)

Necromancer: Grace of Inarius set will turn Bone Armor into a Bone Tornado.

Time to work on Monk. Then, review all the changes, rebalance sets, finish the D3 legendary gems, add blueprints and idk… Pray? To see all of this working fine.

That’s all… for now.

Wow. I’m not convinced that you are just a regular joe modder, Grimer. I’m starting to think you are an undercover crate employee. (Yes, I really at times think this)

The skills Piranha’s and Acid Cloud’s modifier Lob Blob Bomb are shockingly close to the Diablo 3 version. Great work. Piranha’s is one of my favorite skills in Diablo 3:RoS. I can’t say enough. You have put in a great amount of work and love in this mod and it’s much appreciated. I wish I had more time so I could play more and give you tangible feedback. Right now, I’m merely a “fanboi” of yours lurking in the shadows.

Oh, and you rightfully called this patch “2.0”. I think this is the most work you’ve put in between patches since the mod launched. The way you implemented “legendary gems” is brilliant as well. Even your posts are brilliant. I like the title’s you put on them i.e., “Patch 2.0: The spirits smile upon me.”. I better stop typing now because I’m drooling on myself. Keep at it.
