Since 1.0.7.0 patch I can’t use Hydra anymore. Just using it immediatly crashes GD

Arcane Orb is so beautiful.
Some suggestions/request regarding the electrocute skill:
- Electrocute skill could have a hit effect on the enemies it hits. Right now it seems like something is “off” visually.
- Blue lighting fx > pink lighting fx
- Wouldn’t it be better if the electrocute DoT from it’s first “upgrade” also applied to the first target hit so the DoT would work on bosses?

Some final changes, bug fixes, a few items and the new feature: Kanai’s Cube. Patch 2.5 has been updated. Download it here.
Kanai’s Cube is introduced as relics that “extract” skillmodifiers from legendary D3 items and some of their properties as well. It requires level 90 and it’s available to be crafted at the Devil’s Crossing Blacksmith.
You gonna need:
- The Royal version of all Diablo 3 gems.
- The item you want to destroy to extract its skillmodifier and properties.
- 100.000 iron bits.
As far as I know, the skillmodifier from the Kanai’s Relic works with another version of the destroyed item.
Ex: Kanai’s Cube: Scarlet Death and Mythical Mask of the Scarlet Death will grant +1 summon limit to Command Skeletons each.
[b]The Patch 2.5 is the final big patch of the mod. I’ll no longer add new features, such as skills and items. In the christmas week of 2016, Monk and Wizard were released. In the christmas week of 2017, all those new FX effects were added. And today it’s done. Patch 2.5 (Update 1):
- Forgotten Souls: Added chance to be dropped by enemies heroes from Ashes of Malmouth.
- Kanai’s Cube: Added 64 Kanai’s Relics to the Devil’s Crossing Blacksmith.
- Topaz: No longer is used in rings, it can be socketed in amulets instead. Energy cost reduction nerfed.
- Diamonds: No longer is used in amulets, it can be socketed in rings instead. All bonuses nerfed.
- Weapon Attack Skills: Added info to the description telling whether the skill triggers passive spells or not.
- Mythical Scepter of Chiroptera: No longer removes the cooldown of Firebats. Now it reduces the CD by 0,5 seconds and adds 100 fire damage.
- Dawn: Cooldown reduction applied to Vengeance decreased from 15 to 10 seconds.
- Vengeance: Cooldown reduced by 5 seconds.
- Electrocute: Ultimate Bonus removed. Hit up to 3 targets at all ranks. FX Effect color changed.
- Fork Lightning: Renamed to Chain Lightning. Now it just adds electrocute damage over 2 seconds and increases the number of targets that Electrocute can jump to.
- Elemental Strike: It no longer pierces through enemies, however, now it triggers WPS. Damage slightly increased.
- Steady Aim: Now it reduces the Elemental Strike’s damage by 25% and makes it pierce through enemies.
- Hydra: Fixed an issue where Hydra crashes the game whenever you use one of its transmuters.
- Mythical Fate of the Fell: No longer reduces the cooldown of Heaven’s Fury.
- Mythical Mask of the Scarlet Death: Fixed an issue with the Skeleton Archer item-skillmodifier.
- Maximus: Removed a non-functioning granted skill.
- Ray of Frost: Damage slighty reduced. Energy cost slightly increased.
- Sleet Storm: Slow effect reduced by 20%.
- Exploding Palm: Damage of the explosion reduced, though now it causes 8-30% reduction to enemy’s current health.
- Mystic Ally: Cooldown reduced by 10 seconds.
- Wisdom of Kalan: Removed non-intended burn retaliation and CC resistances stats.

I try to get started with a new version (v2.5u1), but the game does not start and I return to the desktop. Since the previous version (v2.5) is running properly, I think there is something wrong with the new version.

I installed the mod from the last post by Grimer. Unfortunately, Hydra still buggy. It doesn’t crash the game immediately now but upon using it the game screen turns black and only the game sound can be heard. The task manager shows GD is not responding. I can’t press any keys … nothing works. So i have to stop GD process manually.

The 2.5_test.zip? Well, it doesn’t have the last changes, so yeah, Hydra is not fixed. I’ve just added the Kanai’s Cube files to this zip. So, the good news is that Kanai’s Relics is not the reason to gamecrash. But now, I don’t know what really is.

Some of the changes were reverted to fix the crashes issue. Hydra is working though.
