[MOD] Grim Dawn: Eternal

how hard is it to write the script to remove the item? and can in the process of removal leave some iron pieces behind? (spawn item?)

reason im asking is because i think about these things in terms of “running a script” to modify the files before release building and keeping a clean item set for working on.

i have a weird bug that I can’t reproduce. It only happens half the time. I have a warden that was created under this mod eternal. Sometimes upon death the character will begin to auto cast the healing totem that is assigned to the first skill button. To get this behavior to stop I have to exit back out to the main menu.

furthermore I have noticed that itemization while playing this character appears to be off. I will frequently get items that are lvl 12ish via drops and merchant, while character is now close to lvl 40. I have a soldier that I created and first started playing in grimmest who doesn’t suffer from said issues.

Sorry for the lack of more details.

Well, drops are always the same. For example, you are not going to get high level drops from the first waves at any level. Same goes for merchant.

And I dont know about healing totem bug, because you die like in original game, no scripts here.

Well, it is easy, but you need to attach it to every single item. And even after you pick it up script is still attached so you will need to run inventory checks and etc. Kinda annoying, not the best solution.

ty for the reply. so even though the lvls of the mobs scale the items do not? unfortunate as this doesn’t appear to be the case when i take the character over to the grimmest mod.

sorry i can’t reproduce the bug atm for further details. look fwd to future modifications from you. cheers!

Hello princess luna,

i have some questions if u dont mind. I defeated the lower pantheon and 3/4 of the pantheon (all by facetanking), but that one guy Irewa Enabies, Ember Commander keeps oneshotting me. Since i did this on DAIL, where you are, thanks to the extra affixes on blues and purple items, a lot stronger than usual, i wonder how a normal character should do those guys.

another thing i wonder about are the armor and DA values of the gods, since i got 3,6 k OA and sometimes i dont crit at all at them (crits at mogdrogen, but not the other 3). whats going on with their health pools? 2 of those pantheons took me like 10 - 15 minutes while mogdrogen was down in 3-4 and ultimate log in less than 10 seconds (just for comparison).

last question: the true cowl of mogdrogen, is the display bugged? it has slots for skills and pet stats which dont show up. btw it only lets me craft 2 items at the anvil eventhough i killed all gods exept one.

thanks for the mod and sry for my english

Not sure why stats are not displayed. Maybe a DAIL problem, but I will have a look.
Health pools and all the stats are the same for the each pantheon. Gods of lower pantheon share their own stats, while pantheon ones have their own. So, Mogdrogen has the same stats as Irewa actually. But their skills are different. Irewa is very tanky. How he oneshots you? With fire nova or just ret damage?
And what do you mean by two items? You are able to craft only two (1 lower and one pantheon item) per walkthrough. However, you gain ability to craft the item after specified god kill but still, one item per pantheon.

hm how do they have the same stats when they die in a different pace (btw i didnt crit at the marksman at all not a single time, but i did as usual at mogdrogen). irewa just hits me with a melee attack and i die, or drop to 5 % life (that only happened twice) while the other 3 hit me for 30 % max.
ok i thought i can craft 1 item per defeated god, thanks for clarifying it.

i never saw a fire nova from irewa and cant tell about retalliation damage, i dont take any dmg there exept for melee hits by her.

Maybe his spells are giving him too much melee fire damage (if they do, but I dont remeber giving him such buffs). I will look at this.

And for stats of the gods, maybe the reason is the armor they are wearing, because their stats are equal. Maksman has a buff to increase his def alot, thats why you dont crit him. They give % bonus, so it is going to be a lot. Mogdrogen does not have any defensive buffs for example.

i thought a little about it, may it be possible that the scaling causes them to be that tanky? i just killed mogdrogen in ultimate in the normal game mode he was lvl 99 and took 15 seconds (op soulcalibur skill from fangshi) whereas the guys in eternal are lvl 107. i guess that should make a difference.

Eternal Mogdrogen has modified stats. Its not the original one by the way.

Irewa has Flame Strike ability thats why his damage is so high. And it looks like Cowl problem is exclusive for the DAIL. I dont have the same issue while running classic or merged version.

Not that you need more confirmation, but my Cowl on merged is fine as well.

did i screw up an item merge? ok fixing for dail 0030

Not sure if you did, because well… Its an item and it has a custom skill attached to it. If you just copy-paste, everything should go fine :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi, I am using DAIL, and I have just tried The Eternal survival lately. Is it normal (or a bug) that the game changed my previous reputation toward kymon’s chosen and the order to Nemesis for both of them ?
And then, if I come back to the main campaign map, I am still Nemesis for both of them.

Maybe this is a planned system of yours, but I would be glad to hear some more informations about this

Anyway, you have to know that your mod is pure awesomeness, thanks a lot !

Yes, it makes you Nemesis to both of them. And you are not getting it back after going to normal campaign.
Actualy, if you got nemesis and then somehow (barely possible) get your reputation back you are going to be unable to defeat kymon/necro waves in Eternal.
Changing their factions and factions of their summons and their relations between each other is something big that I have no time to do right now :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s actually quite easy in DAIL, as there is an NPC that will re-ally you with the faction of your choice for some Iron Bits.

i will fix eternalmod in DAIL later… its just a faction issue i think. i need to test

Ok, in that case I will enable on each load nemesis setting.

No problem at all man, you just already did an amazing job, I won’t whine for some insignificant frustration of mine :). I just wanted clarifications about this, thanks !

Thank you very much for this :stuck_out_tongue:
