Modifiers and special bonuses on weapons

some clarification/confirmation if you will please

flat dmg on weapons, be it base extra value or ex component/augment only apply to attacks made with that “hand”/specific weapon
any % bonuses on a weapon is globally applied

what about “chance of X” bonuses?

  • fairly certain, (and Monc confirmed,) that chance of Xflat dmg, only applies to swings made with that weapon/hand (ex being Relentless/Fervor affixes) - yes?

but what about chance of % boosts? how do they apply and trigger?

  • same as flat? or can it trigger or apply to any attack? (ex being battlemage’s/of the slayer affixes)

what about “flat” modifiers?

  • i’m assuming as it’s a modifier it’s applied globally/“default” regardless of attack, hand or even weapon slot the skill uses?
    -as such X%WD on a weapon in offhand would still apply to to skills only scaling off main hand, right? (ex being reavers claw/Ring of Steel)

I’m pretty sure “chance of” stats act like the normal versions. So chance of flat damage applies only to that weapon just like regular flat damage, and chance of % damage applies globally just like regular % damage.

Modifiers affect the skill directly, so yes dual wielding something that modifies a one-hand-only skill will use the modifier from both weapons.
