There never was a confirmed date, just a vague quarter 3 estimate. The closest thing we’ve gotten in Zantai saying that they’re still “on track” for a quarter 3 release a couple weeks ago, but no date was ever confirmed. Development rarely goes smoothly, so “on track” one week could quickly revert to “behind schedule” the next week.
Stop throwing water on fire with your reasonable arguments. We need gasoline on fire, this is a hype thread for Ulzuin’s sake!!!
I just hope the release will be on friday, not caring if this week, next week or in 2 weeks, but on a friday. Then I’ll have a whole weekend of expansion gameplay.
Will be salty if it’ll be on monday, when a greater majority of us has a week of work/classes beforehand :rolleyes:
My call is for it to be out for the first Week-end of October. In Canada we have our Thanksgiving (yeah I know like a month before the USA Thanksgiving) so Monday is off. I also took friday off to have a four day week-end. Would be a great timing to play all week-end long and it still give them 3 weeks to finish if they have a date to announce today.

generally, big annoucement such as release date aren’t divulgated in GMs, they have their own topic. but we’ll probably have hints today i guess 
There was initially a Q2/Q3 release indicated and later it got changed to Q3. Knowing only that, I would assume that if the text has not been changed again then Q3 is still plausible.
Yeah I agree a Friday would make sense.

zantai had the chance to change it every day , i mean the quarter 3 estimate, but they never changed and for all who saw the latest stream know that the release date is giving to us today with a trailer…(zantai said the trailer is atm in development) i think the preorder on steam starts today as well. Grim dawn was released on February 25 (thursday) maybe the xpac comes on 21 or 28 but psst zantai will kick me
I hate to burst the majority of bubbles here, but I don’t think we have a history of weekend releases. Most patches have been Monday or mid week. Isn’t it really risky to release it on a Friday, as if there are unforeseen major problems you are working all weekend to fix them?
1.0.0.8 looks to be the only Friday release… 1.0 was on a Thursday.
This is no typical “when it’s ready” patch. It’s the expansion, it has to hit hard.
I do not think delaying its release to a Friday on purpose is a bad move. That would be less frustrating for people that can only play on week-ends.
Instead of theorizing if and when the expac will be released, just wait for Crate to make the announcement.
