Just wondering about movement speed. It maxes out at 135%, but do you benefit from any overmax %?
I.e., when you are slowed, does the overmax % kick in, so that you are not as slowed as you otherwise would be? In other words, does overmax movement speed function as slow resistance?
Good stuff! I hadn’t really considered this, but I was plotting out a devotion map and noticed a lot of +movement speed % for this character, which will likely end up being overmax, but still useful.
Well yes but is it worth to overcap for those moments where you’re slowed? I assume not but don’t really know how often you are slowed and to what amount (with i.e 80% slow res). And at 200% AS/CS already loses half of its value due to additive nature so like 6% is like 3% relative and probably it’s not worth it to sacrifice i.e. %damage which works always.
Slow res usually do better job than overcaps, except when it comes down to mutators, which are not affected by slow. If you have at same time -cast speed mutator and -total speed, you can go let’s say from 200% to 172%. So overcaps on cast speed there will help you offset the -speed.
In addition to the fact that having a higher cap means that % slows (which are the most common) will take more speed off your total, keep in mind that AS is built up less-than-linearly due to the attack speed multiplier between weapons. So you may invest ~145% AS to go from 100% to 200%, but a 15% slow will still take you down to 170% AS.
