My Dad's Favorite Game

I just came across the gravestone and came across this thread. This thread touched me deeply.
Condolences Shacklefurd. And respect to Crate for the honor done in name of one of their players.

I cried again due to necro and whined about this to my girlfriend.

I just came across this and did research to find out what the story was and I was touched by it I even cried.I don’t shed much tears, But this story had me by the heart and I was just inspired to continue to be a gamer because of this great community we have and the caring DEV’s who did this great tribute to your father. I have a son and he is following in my footsteps as a gamer to. RIP Praetorian Zedlee.

Bumping this to remind Crate that not all old threads should be deleted.

As a son who is supporting my mom as we help dad battle brain cancer. I extend my sympathies. Cancer is a heartless cold demon. Reading that you shared your gaming love with your dad was awesome and inspiring. I posted about my dads battle in intro forums and hope anyone can help share that post. Gaming is something that definitely can folks heal. When There are moments that are very hard for me and I just need a break I fire up Grim dawn to help me cope. Thank you Crate Entertainment for this amazing game. Loyal Kickstarter supporter.

I’m definitely an old player, as I started in Dec 2015 with b29 and now have over 4k hours in the game, but I just found this story about Zedlee.

I knew I liked this game, and this company, for a reason.

Hello GD forums:

Does not this thread deserve a bump?
Seems kinda dusty (March 2023).
These types of emotions and feelings need to be remembered, forever.

Peace.
