I love how for a single player, non competition game, it really turns into that at times.
I mean, if someone wants to play a single class, all for it. If they are able to do what others do in dual class, good job.
Why does that make them warrant so much criticism, and almost pushed to take a 2nd class… what if it is part of the challenge they want?
That is what Grim Dawn is, right? The challenge of making the build and surviving through the difficulties.

I don’t think anyone is against someone wanting to play single class, everyone can play the way they want, but I think Tyr is arguing that single class can be just as good as dual class, so imo theres an easy way to figure that out rather then having never ending arguments on forums.
You should do a search then. You can even use my username as a starting point, go with “Find all threads started by…”. You might learn something.

Were you replying to me? If you were, my entire point was for you (and sfbistimg) to avoid repeating what you’ve been saying. What better way to conclusively end the argument then to show that you are right through evidence, with your kill times and/or a screenshot of your chara and build so other people can test and either agree/disagree with your conclusions.
I was aiming for this, but I realisd a lot of the devotions you need to unlock before you can unlock Oleron are just not good for 2h, most of the are for Shield bearers like the crab ect…
I have instead gone for Kraken and will get Tree of life for survivability.
If you’re using a 2h Mace(Stonefist Rebuke, Obsidian Juggernaut, GoodGreen2hMace), check Rowan’s Scepter in the lower right end of the devotion tree.
That’s what I’ve gone for. I also spent the points I was going to use for Oleron to get Chariot of the Dead and Giant’s Blood (Behemoth).

I’ll probably get Hammer and spend the last few points on Unknown Soldiers. Not sure if it’s the best set up though.
I go a mostly pure soldier build. Only have 10 pts into veil of shadow from nightblade. The rest in soldier. Primarily Blade Arc and Blitz build.
Devotions: Oleron, Rhowans Scepter, 5 pts in Unknown Soldier, scales of Ulcana, Jackal, Falcon, Hammer, Anvil, Empty Throne.
Currently L85 and I can destroy anything in ultimate with minimal risk. Currently using Agony as one hander with tanking armor. 17k dps.
Energy wise, it is a bit of a challenge, but use soul shards on neck and rings.
You can still go for oleron while having kraken, rhowans scepter, behemoth, and chariot of the dead. ��
My planned devotion setup is,
Viper
Hawk
Chariot of the Dead
Hammer
Empty Throne
Wolverine
Assasins Blade
Kraken
Rhowans Scepter
Behemoth 3/6
Oleron 5/7
I think the only wasted points here are those from wolverine, though you need those for the 5 Ascendant affinity.
For some of you who are already max level please try this if these is viable in ultimate. Im still currently level 56 at elite difficulty. Never died once. Blade arc warder here.
Personally I was never arguing Dual Class is better. Just that if you are stuggling to do what you want with a single class, then just go Dual Class as there is no benefit to going Single Class. Hell there’s not even an Achievement for it. But clearly that offended someone to much.
Offended too much? That’s funny. I’m being the rational one here.
