I love this game. Have played it for a few weeks now, and it really ticks a lot of boxers. There is still room for improvements I think, here are my tips:

  1. Why no spears? It must be the most common weapon in the early days, before swords and crossbows, cheap to manufacture and effective against all kinds of animals or people.

  2. May I suggest introducing more types of farm animals? Chickens are very common, eggs can be stored, eaten or used in the bakery. Maybe this doesnt require a special building but is something certain homesteads can build, once you introduce hens and roosters to them.

  3. I REALLY miss the sea, or lake. Fishing boats, trading boats etc. Docks, jetties, catching seashells, lobsters etc. Maybe this is something for further expansion packs.

  4. The fighting part in the game is really basic, too basic for me, no offence. It is like early days of warcraft 1 where two adversaries, just meet and then start banging eachother with weapons untl some1 dies. I would really like to see the kind of fighting where they actually make use of their weapons, shields etc. It requires a lot, I know, but it would really make the fights seem more realistic.

  5. I dnt know if it is a bug, but I can’t build pallisades (walls) across hills on mountain maps. I have to stop and turn around the hill only on flat ground. Very wierd.

  6. The vault seem useless. I had too much gold, built a vault. How do I move the gold there? Its just sitting there… it isn’t really used for anything.

  7. I hope you sometime in the future where the city building part of the game is “finished”, introduce AI cities, clans, building castles, other civilisations, exploration, colonising etc. The world as it is now is to be honest quite “boring”, and by that I mean, there is really nothing to explore besides resources. There is no real danger besides the randomly spawned raiders that appear out of nowhere. There are no exotic resources to discover that requires effort, no fancy equipments to build, produce (like oil, hot air balloon, boats etc. These things would be ideal for future expansion packs I think, and would add a whole new dimension to the game.

There are crude weapons, spears could be collectively within this group.

Devs have commented on this multiple times. Bridges and sea travel and currently problematic to implement. If it happens it will be a DLC or expansion.

Try flattening the ground…

You have other storages accepting gold. You need to set the others to not accept, and the vault to accept. Any new gold will then be deposited in the vault only.

1- Agree the spear can be a crude weapon if it’s a sharpened stick, but a true spear will be metal tipped and balanced requiring a blacksmith, the preferred weapon for boars

2-Good idea about homesteads having their own chickens. People can feed themselves a limited diet during any food shortages and let’s face it, no homestead is without chickens

3-Probably an expansion

5-Flattening tool isn’t good, too unpredictable

6-Absolutely needs rework why else have a vault if you can’t place all your money there?

7-Interesting ideas for modders when game is “finished”
