Need a 'face roll' build before FG comes out

Hey guys. I’ve neen playing this game for awhile on and off, but I never really hit 100. My highest is a lightning dual wield trickster that is 85 right now around the fort ikon area. The game play is fun and engaging but every once in awhile i get chunked even though I have leech, stack physique, have relatively high resists and 13k + health. It’s taking longer than I believe it should to down big packs. Anyhow, I am looking for a build that can take me to 100 relatively easily, so I can get farming ultimate before Forgotten God’s comes out.

I’m open to anything, however I’m assuming some sort of ranged will be recommended. I’ve never really tinkered with inquisitor’s or casters, and if possible, I’d like to go that route.

Usually rout for newish player is to level physical Death Knight and then farm Krieg set.If you want ranged then recommended classes are Purifier and Vindicator.For DK there is beginner friendly guide by Stupid dragon,for dw purifier by x1x1x1x2.

Try to read the beginner builds in the build compendium and see if there is something you like.

Thanks guys, I will check out both. Rolling a DK as we speak. Afterwards I’ll be looking into some sort of caster and then some of the new mastery FG combinations. Cheers.

Having been in the same boat very recently, I can make one suggestion: “relatively high” resists vs all capped resists will have a HUGE impact on your survivability. I have 2 or 3 builds that are stuck in the early stages of Ultimate because I can’t get my resists capped. It’s a never-ending “rob Peter to pay Paul” scenario lol. Even on my one and only 100, my resists aren’t completely capped (a few points shy on one or two of them), but I’ve at least been able to get into AoM with that build. The sad thing is, I’ve got some massively better gear in the bank that I can’t use because most of it has virtually no resists on it, and I can’t afford to take that kind of a hit.

On your Trickster, how far have you gotten in Ultimate? If you can get to twin falls, you can farm that route from the waypoint down into the hive, and that will get you a lot of XP and some legendaries and some crafting recipes to start with. It might be easier to tweak the build you’ve got than run a whole new toon.
