Couldn’t find a build which mainly uses phantasmal blades and tried to create one for myself. The focus lies in life leech and vit damage, pierce/chaos and bleed as secondary damage. Although I tried my best to create something viable, I am not quite sure if this char will survive/deal enough damage in ultimate. Any suggestion/advice is much appreciated
Problems :
I am struggling for aether resistence. Even if I use 5 augments (Spellward Powder to max lightning as a side effect), all I will get is 20% in ultimate. Fire and ice and are only medicore and bleeding will just be crap. Poison is alright, I guess. Although chaos and vit res will be maxed by gear, I am not sure if my char would ever be ultimate viable.
Big tip. Don’t do legendaries in all slots just because you can. Resistance stat stick greens can be BiS quite easily.
Also, just personal opinion on the matter, but Spellbreaker is better for P-blades, even with the lacking synergy in damage types.
With a Warpfire, you can change the cold damage to fire, and two Alberch’s Dualities can turn the Chaos into Aether, letting you have Reckless power amp it fully, then you can combo that with the casting speed + skill cost - passive to make it easy to spam them forever, rather than being the energy whore that is called the P-blades Witch Hunter who is OoM 24/7.
I guess it could be ultimate-viable if you would change some little things.
(Ultimate-viable as in able to beat the story ; Nemessis-hunting, that would be another story…)
My 2 iron bits :
Equipment :
Rings : I don’t think you really need x2 Signet of the Fallen. I would equip one defensive/resitant ring instead.
Relic : Solael’s Decimation is good for its +1 Occultist skills, but you may also find Haunt to be very usefull, mostly because the granted ‘haunt’ skill can debuff vitality res and lif leech res.
About your materia :
You will need to replace some of those soul shards (rings/amulet) by Ectoplasm
Energy-wise, this type of character is a pain to manage without a strong energy regen. / very large energy pool.
About your skill choices :
I wouldn’t invest that much in Solael’s witchfire. The only things that benefit your build in there are the %Vitality damage (and it’s not that huge) and the #chaos damage (which in the end is divided by 4 because of Frentic-Throw, as far as I understood it)
About your devotions :
Your set-up is good. I was just surprised you did not go for Solael’s witchblade, as you want to run a Blood Orb.
Sorry for not developping and not argumenting much, I hope it helps a bit anyway
@Steelflame
Using albrecht + warpfire means I would need to revamp my whole build since damage only applies to the converted type and all thoes chaos modifiers would be useless or am I wrong? Also the focus would shift to proc lots of stuff w/ hourglass dev instead upfront damage. Almost 100% casting speed is quite easy to achieve.
I like the idea behind it. Reminds me of your shadow strike build (R.I.P) with aether/fire instead all elements.
@Psyclown
I see. 2 signets might be overkill and golem>windshear. Though I think I’ll keep soleals as my relic since it boosts literally everything my build is designed to do. Also those extra spirit points are really handy to fullfill orb of chthons req.
Is energy absorption useless? Since there is so much lifeleech I thought about face tanking everything and abuse the high energy absorption.
Oh I completely overlooked witchblade. Although I might need to sacrifice scales it could work out most likely.
