I am building a shaman/ele with pet hybrid

I know my gear sucks but I managed to whittle Fabius on Ultimate to half. SO i knwo im kinda getting there.

I am wondering if anyone going the similar route as me with a pet hybrid. I do have a lot of auras due to items. I find it funny though.

Eww, a hybrid :stuck_out_tongue:

I kid, I kid, there are definitely good hybrid builds out there but they are more difficult to optimize compared to pet or non-pet builds.

Looking at what you have now, I honestly think you’d do better to drop pets. Demo offers very little in the way of pet synergy, and you will not find much gear for elementalists that supports pets.
Your gear, sadly, does suck. There is no cohesion between the chosen pieces, most would be better replaced by other items that are more synergistic.

Without changing your gear, Storm Totem mutator is a big no-no, as it converts the damage into a non-desired type. Totem in general might be worth dropping, but if you have it, max it. Pick up wind devil with the second node maxed to drop enemy resistance to your lightning damage from your savagery and your totems. Drop your pets entirely, increase your tenacity of the boar, get blast shield to either 5 or 10, max brute force, reduce vindictive flame to 11, get maxed flashbang first node, 1 point second node, thermite mines at 10 would be nice.

With gear changes, you need components! Put one in everything, asap. Augments would be nice too. Try to fill out a mythical or normal ultos set, and get rid of your pet modifiers to buff your OA, DA, lightning, etc.

That’s my two cents. If you’re really set on being a hybrid, you might want to take only some of my advice and look to other players with more experience with pets for advice.

If you must play a hybrid pet build, you might want to go for DaShiv’s Dracarris Incarnate: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52972
It is however a bit old, so would need some touch ups here and there.

Other than that, you are better off focusing on either pets or no pets (player scaled ones are an exception)

Also, everything Halcyon said.
