I will be using, totems, SOC,devouring swarm and chaos bolt etc
If i go Scales of ulcama and Dying God way, i am sacrificing a lot of damage but gaining lots of survivability,
If i go Eldritch’s fire, Afflication and right side of Abomination i will have tons of dps but lacking in survivability.
Important notice is since all build depends on lifestealing to survive, more dps indirectly equals to more survivability but still don’t know what to do
Attack damage to heath only works on skills with a weapon damage component. So if your spell says “X% weapon damage” you’ll get it, if it doesn’t then you won’t.
I’d have to see your build and know specifically what your method of attack is. Sigil/Doom Bolt is gonna be a lot different from Devouring Swarm/Wendigo Totem, for example.
This is true, but still doesn’t mean you should overemphasize DPS and offensive, especially on Ultimate and especially when considering that enemies may be immune to lifestealing. (In the long run, you want your constellations to work on level 85, not level 30 or 50.)
I’m currently playing a Vit Conjuer, too. Main attack skills are Sigil of Consumption (22/12), Destruction (20/12), Wendigo Totem (16/12), Storm Totem + Transmuter (18/16) and Devouring Swarm (24/16). Doom Bolt is at (11/12) and only occasionally used. Curse Of Frailty and Vulnerability are both at 10/10. I’m using these constellations:
Wraith
Empty Throne
Hawk
Chariot Of The Dead -> Wayward Soul [used with Solael’s Witchfire]
Tortoise -> Turtle Shell [used with Possession]
Wendigo -> Wendigo’s Mark [used with Grasping Vines or Storm Totem]
Dryad -> Dryad’s Blessing [used with Sigil of Consumption]
Scales Of Ulcarna -> Tip The Scales [used with Void-Ward Aura (from “Imbued Silver” component)]
Solael’s Witchblade -> Eldritch Fire [used with Curse of Frailty]
Behemoth (3/6) -> Giant’s Blood [used with Mogdrogen’s Pact]
Ulo the Keeper of the Waters (1/5)
Crossroads (1/5 - Chaos)
If you want, you can exchange Dryad/Dryad’s Blessing for Affliction/Fetid Pool, by taking Lion instead of Dryad and removing the point from Ulo.
I don’t see constellations like Raven or Fox contributing too much to your build. Better concentrate on constellations that are combining useful bonuses with Celestial Powers. Abomination is too demanding, too expensive and has too many fillers, which your build can’t make good use of.
Thx for the nice detailed info^^. I am using raven and fox to unlock abomination. I don’t know if lifesteal resistanec prevents my SOC spell to convert damage to hp?.
So there are two ways to go, either bottom or up as i understand. You chose the top way, probably it has better survivability than bottom way but less dps i guess rite?
So i chose top way, i can use offensive augments i guess. What do you think? Also do you suggest bottom way? I currently abandoned fetid pool, instead of got behemoth and oklain’s lantern.
Especially when playing a build that’s not totally OP, balance is very important. Three (with Fetid Pool four) of my seven powers are dealing damage, so they are not purely defensive.
Ideally you know what’s important for your build and - looking at your playing style - what’s important to you. Regarding Vit/Chaos % Damage, HP, Energy, Health/Energy Regen, OA, Resistances, Cast Speed etc. it’s always good to have some values you want to reach, as some kind of baseline. As long as these values are reasonable, this will help you to reach all of them in an efficient manner. After this you can finetune your build and increase some values a bit more.
During this process you’ll see where your points are coming from: Are gear and components/augments already giving you all the DPS you want/need or are you using mainly defensive components/augments to cap your resistances? Depending on the answer, you’ll chose different constellations, so there’s usually no single best choice of constellations. It all depends on your other choices.
For example, at level 85 I wanted this build to have (with all buffs active) 1k % Vit Damage, 10k Health, 4k Energy, 300 Health Regen, 100 Energy Regen, 2.5k OA, 140% Cast Speed and mostly capped resistances, so after reaching 1k % Vit Damage there was no need to push DPS even more and balanced constellations made more sense to me.
It was Retaliator’s build (http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31945) that inspired me to try a Vit Conjurer. Perhaps you want to take a look at this thread. It contains much useful information and discussions.
