Need help with 2H Melee Internal Trauma + Ritualist Pet Build

Hey everyone,

Needed some advice on the devotions I should go after for the above build. I’m a newbie and made this build reading through multiple guides and compendiums though now confused about what devotions I should target.
This is what I’d come up with - https://www.grimtools.com/calc/nZodrolN

Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

I don’t wanna be that guy, but did any of the guides you read mention melee/pet hybrids?

I did and picked up some devotions from there. Just want an expert opinion on whether the ones I’ve picked would work well together or I should be looking at some others.

Can you show me a successful version of that kinda build you wanna do?

Bro, this won’t work. :joy:

First concentrate one dmg, that is fit for u. Like pets, or itnernal trauma. But not both of those, first play the game not creating what u don’t udnerstand.

If u wanna go with Internal trauma u need soldier and Forcewawe… not shaman or necromancer.

and/or blade arc

Yeah, but i think, he just need to play with 1 top skill not 2 first, after this.

this is something I did in 4 minutes https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2EbOd3V
faction items, 2 MI’s one can shop from Hyram.
Just as a sketch of a build you proposed basically.

Not bad. He can be pro now.

and also 2H version from my gudie collection ☄ Collection of malawiglenn's Beginner Friendly builds (also have death knight version)

Ahh okay. Thanks for the inputs. When I started of the game, forum was being reworked so was using guides from here - https://www.gameskinny.com/977ij/grim-dawn-best-builds-of-2019. Couldn’t find anything similar.

Was going to start veteran as I finished Normal with the above but wasn’t sure about devotions. Will restart and try with the builds you suggested.

You can’t really do Veteran once you’ve done Normal. They’re both the same difficulty, it’s just Veteran is a bit more difficult since it’s aimed at experienced ARPG players. Sure you could run it, but you wouldn’t get any new quests, it would just be a matter of killing stuff.

I could not find a 2H internal trauma and pet ritualist build there

So ask your self, you do wanna play a melee build or pet build?

remember that Internal Trauma can hit you really hard if you hit a reflective mob unless you have much of reflected damage reduction.

on a side note are there any good pet melee hybrid builds around? which do good damage in melee and have decently strong pet/pets also?

Not really. You either go melee or full pets, at least for pet based pets. Player based pets are a different story.

thats a shame, i used to love being deadly in melee with necromancer and having a golem and some skeletal mage cronies killing at the same time back in old D2.
