This is what I have at the moment (L30): grimcalc.com/build/zlIsWg
It works great against trash and heroes but bosses are a different story. Kilrian took forever to kill with only 480 DPS. I didn’t die on him (or anywhere else yet) but SoT looms ahead and there are some pretty tough enemies in there.
Is there any way to squeeze more DPS from this setup without sacrificing too much survivability? Or do I need something completely different?
Not surprising. You have no primary skill for doing sustained damage. OFF and Callidor both have 6 second cool downs. What are you doing when those are on cooldown, auto-attacks?
I have NOT played a spellbreaker, but my instinct here is to tell you to take those point out of Callidor for the moment, and put those points into something that will let you do sustained damage, whether it is dual blades (not 2h, obviously), PRM, or Phantasmal Blades. You could also remove Wrath of Agrivix, but I have to think the energy use would be complete unsustainable at that level. Another option would be to get a mistborn talisman and use that as your default attack, but even then, without an aura of some kind adding significant flat damage (and IEE isn’t contributing a huge amount right now) I don’t know that it would make a massive difference. Maybe if you moved points from Callidor to IEE it would be worth doing, but I just don’t have enough experience with it to say for sure.
I don’t feel like calidor’s tempest fits into the build. I feel like you are spending a ton of points for something that has no synergy with your build.
I am actually working on the same concept.
I am going with something like this, this is a work in progress but so far it’s doing well:
Havent had much difficulty with anything, just need to remember that Shadow Strike is an escape as well as an intiation tool, With Blade Barrier and Mirror you have 2 situational “oh shit” buttons
I plan on going the cold damage and life steal route with devotions. Hope this helps
Thanks for advice, guys, and sorry for not replying earlier. It was a busy week.
Anyway, after some pondering, I took some points from Calidor and Olexra and put them into Shadow Strike. Managed SoT (up to Zarthuzellan) without any trouble. Calidor actually fits my hit-and-run build theme quite nicely as it helps to clear tougher trash. I was specced into ABB earlier (in act 1) but it felt meh. Need to try it again.
