I also have access to a valepiercer, codex of malligosta, a marrow band and a second glyph of kelaph ring and touch of the everlasting grove (altho being necro, they already have high vitality resist anyway). <- unsure if I should use these.
So, my questions - Numbered for ease (and thanks in advance for the help if you decide to).
Is it better to go more +hp rings, +attack rings, or +OA/DA rings for summons?
for the valepiercer (missing some cunning) should i get some, or skip cunning entirely (most of my points are in spirit till i can get endgame gear, then all going to physique …or cunning if necessary).
What augments/components should I put on my gear. I’m unsure if I should focus on resistances for me, or stuff for the pets. (I’ve only been as far as homestead on elite so far).
is it better to 2hand or 1hand for summoners? (for bonuses/augments etc), I got an answer before, but still don’t feel solid on it.
Is there anything I can tweak for more survivability/damage, or am i always gonna be a 1hko glass cannon…so to speak?
to support your minions (and your own guy), the best you could do would be to free up some points and get blood of dreeg (also aspect of the guardian).
a ton of OA and a decent chunk of HP reg and acid damage and a % based heal. the modifier adds a ton of poison resist and a good chunk of physical resist and buffs both acid and vitality damage - which are damage types your pets will do anyway (vit conversion from master of death, acid from BoD itself)
by far the strongest skill of your class for a mass pet build, imo.
as for augments and components - work on your resists first. specifically, pierce resistance looks really bad. no point buffing other stuff while you’re wide open to be oneshot by a random archer or whatever.
also, i’d respec the devotions to get ratosh. you can bind that devotion power to your skeleton army. the devotion power has no cooldown (!) and debuffs vit and life leech resist - that should synergize very well with your mass skeletons. the devotion also adds a decent chunk of flat HP to your guy (650 in total i think) - looks like a really strong pick for a necro summoner.
you already had 3 yellow points in your setup, so instead of adding 5 from crane, i think i’d just put 4 points into panther (2 yellow) and 1 in yellow crossroads to get the 6 for rattosh. panther is a pretty good devotion for offensive pet stats (15% all damage, 5% OA, 5% crit damage).
and I’d bind rattosh to skeleton army. you could bin elemental storm to the raven or hellhound or another (item spawned) pet i guess.
also, i’d definitely max blood of dreeg. i guess you could drop some points from bonds of bysmiel - that only adds % pet health and you’ll probably get a few hundred % pet health from items anyway, so losing 50% won’t do much, while another 75 flat OA and 25 flat acid damage on each of your 15 or so pets will actually make a big difference.
EDIT: also, instead of elemental storm, you could grab manticore. the proc does flat RR to all resistances, much better for a build that has a wide variety of pets doing all sorts of damage types (and only a small part of it is elemental)
