if you want to facetank fabius make sure you have capped pierce and bleed resist, and close to 100% armor absorption. he actually doesn’t do as much damage as before now. of course do not attack when his blade barrier is up.
in contrast, to fight iron maiden close to 80% stun resist and significant amount of physical resist are essential (which is the hardest resistance to obtain), in addition to 100% armor absorption, and her menhir’s will proc is annoying as hell. i sure am glad when i fight him in archon’s tomb, at least i can lead him to the death’s vigil adds. so i have a slightly easier time.
all nemeses will heal when you die, not just fabius.
Given that nemeses are an inevitable consequence of playing the game, yes, they absolutely should be beatable by any character.
They are also endgame content farming, they shouldn’t be easy.
I did say “beatable” and not “easy”. I have some issues with the concept of nemeses, but I don’t mind them being hard as long as I don’t have to worry about randomly resetting the game just because a character can’t handle them.

Haha, exactly; if they were super difficult enemies that spawned in fixed, out of the way locations (like the Hydra from Titan Quest, or Loxmere in this game) I wouldn’t have any issue with them. Hell, I wish Grim Dawn had more stuff like that.
Thanks for that , had a check and all my armour pieces say 100% armour absorption , I have 80% bleed but only 17% pierce , he really kills that quick because of that pierce , will have to get it sorted , thanks man 
Edited to say that actually it’s 53% pierce when buffed so not far off .
Another edit : All of my reses are now 80-85% + 100% absorption , went looking for him in ultimate , took a while to kill him having to constantly run away from the blades , chest dropped 2 partial components and a few iron bits , never been so bored in a fight and probably never want to kill him again , just a shame I will run into him in Cronley’s and have to restart my game because you can’t shake him off , should be a button to turn those fella’s off .
