Hey I’m looking for a tanky 2h build thats not to overcomplicated for a new player to understand. Any tips will be appriciated.
1.) Soldier+Shaman==Warder.
2.) Savagery.
3.) Stack Lightning Damage.
4.) Ultos Set.
5.) Kind of full Physique (with some stats for end-game gear requirements.)
6.) Military Conditioning + Heart of the Wild.
7.) Enjoy your LMB 2H Lightning Warder with shit tons of HP.

I just have a few more things to add:

Mastery (the bar that unlocks higher level skills) has to be 50 in Shaman, 40 in Soldier (for Scars of Battle). last 10 points in Soldier would be wasted, and you can’t get them back. Feel free to experiment with skills and devotion, because you can buy them back, but every mastery point and attribute point you invest is gone forever. Make sure you don’t waste atribute points on being able to equip some blue or rare ring or sword because it is convinient at the time, your char will be gimped later. You will never need any cunning and never moe than 5 spirit. Everything else into physique!

As soon as you start a new difficulty level, go here:
This will be an amazingly good weapon for you until you get Ultos axe (you are way off from there, it’s a lvl 75 Legendary). It can spawn with an aditional property (prefix or sufix), but doesn’t always. So what you want to do is “farm” this corpse a couple of times (the best way is to take the first riftgate, which is just up the road, then backtrack a bit) until it spawns with attack speed bonuses: “of Alacrity”, “of the Rifthound”, “of Voracity” (this one also gives lifesteal, which makes it amazing or “of Fury” (also pretty sick). -
Don’t go Savagery from the start. Primal strike and Torrent (the next skill in the same tree) will clear everything in your path until ultimate. Once you get some sick items, switch to Savagery because it has higher weapon damage. Keep in mind that Primal strike works with two-handed ranged weapons, so you can keep any rifle/crossbow of Alacrity or better on your switch and use it to kill any boss you can’t tank.

Start leveling Arcane Bomb (Widow constellation) early. It’s not obvious to new players because they see aether damage and think it’s for casters, but this is the best devotion skill for a Warder, resistance reduction is insanely important in this game. Don’t just pick the fastest path to Widow, you want to first finish Kraken because it will make your early game trivial (you should have it by the time you finish Act 2 iirc), the bonuses on it are insane.
