Hey guys! I’m new to the game, but not ARPG’s by any stretch of the imagination. I love the way builds work in this game, and I wanted to try my hand at throwing something together for Witchblade. Could you guys give this a look and tell me what you think?
(My post count hasn’t reached 3, so I can’t link yet). The grimcalc code is: rVzBdm
My biggest worry is that Solael’s Witchfire adds chaos damage to this build. Do you think that would make it too spread out? I have no idea what gear I’ll build around this yet as I’m just getting started. I do know that I DEFINITELY want to use a two-hander rather than S/B. I know most people would say, “Just play the game. It’s your first character.” Unfortunately, I’m a bit too OCD for that. More than half the fun of games like this for me is building/theorycrafting a character.
Also, I’ve been putting all of my attribute points into Physique. Should I branch into the others at any point or just use devotions to get those up to the gear stat thresholds I’ll want?
I would beg to differ, there are other two-hander builds that do well. Shaman is probably the best if you wanna go with lightning but that does not mean that other builds are that far behind.
That said I am currently working (between fabius farming) on a 2h chaos witchblade build. I have yet to see how it performs on ultimate, but on elite it just destroyed everything and had a super easy time on Log.
As I said it is a work in progress but the build looks something like this
Obsidian Juggernaut is a must and a few more good options include Devil’s Cage Hauberk, Voidsteel Gauntlets and Demonplate Legplates. Tinker’s Ingenuity for a belt, Thread of Mortality and a Lifegiver Signet.
You don’t have to have all those legendaries to make it work, the most important one is obviously the weapon, I use all that stuff because I had it available in my stash. Hope this helps!
Keep in mind that because there are no endgame gear focused around a 2h chaos build, it will be harder to make an effective one.
p.s. As far as I ve seen the only enemies that are slow to kill are harbingers, the rest go down pretty fast.
