new to the game build questions?

Kind of liked shaman so that is what I started with…without knowing what i was doing I picked up occultist…not seeing much about this on the forums (conjuror) what its called I think? anyone else use this is it viable high end?

The conjurer is an extremely flexible class, which can be anything from pet master through vitality caster to melee fighter.

So far I have been playing it melee, the terminology I am not quite up on haha…but I have been going 2handed shaman and only a few points in conj for a pet…

Go pure pets, it’s a char that doesn’t really need amazing items to own all game content. Summoners are less boring in GD than they usually are, juggling aggro and spamming debuffs can get quite intense.

Generalcash can you give an example of how to do that? so far I am using melee 2h of course…and the dots…

So far I seem pretty squishy so have been having problems…like I probably should have gone soldier for more tankyness…only like 5 points in occultist…thinking its time to start over…

So basically the two most popular conjurer builds are the pet build and vitality caster build. If you Google “Grim Dawn conjurer pet build” or “grim dawn conjurer vitality build” you should find some good examples of what those builds are all about.

If you’re struggling with survivability here are the conjurers options…

Blood of Dreeg - It’s basically a free healing pot + regen. If you’re going melee I highly recommend you max this (and probably aspect of the guardian).

Mogdrogens Pact line - 1st skill gives regen, 2nd gives +% max health (max this) and 3rd gives health regen + armor. I’d max the 3rd too if melee.

Tenacity of the Boar - lots of health regen and DA if you’re using savagery

Wendigo totem - it’s not immediately obvious when looking at the tooltip, but the healing aura it has is significant, even without investing in vitality damage.

If you want to stick with 2hand melee then get these skills and you should be golden. Max out the savagery tree, the first solaels witchfire (for attack speed), maybe some brute force tree and Curse of Frailty and it should work.

Something like this…

Anyway, best of luck to you! Don’t give up! Also don’t forget to invest your attribute points into physique except for like 10 in case you need to equip something
