So, upgrading now from lurker to… i don’t know. forum initiate, i guess.
just wanted to say it’s great to see the KS project emerge. gives a person something productive to do besides lurk around with a couple of fingers crossed.
i played more games when i was younger, but i think TQ and dawn of war have pretty much been the only things on my hard drives in the last five years.
loved TQ’s design, game mechanics, and creative elements. they definitely raised the bar for the arpg scene. only thing on the con list was the voice work for egypt and asia. bit over the top, but i didn’t let it detract from my experience of the game.
on the plus side, something i saw on the KS comments page about Mr. Bruno going out to sample environmental effects for the sound people for GD – the overall sound work on TQ was excellent. glad we’re going to get to enjoy more of that in the successor.
also, kudos to the victorian (/edwardian? guessing some of the guns ramp up to wwi era maybe?) setting. i could be wrong, but right now, the overall look evokes ‘the walking dead’ meets ‘the road warrior/mad max’…
… which means i’m absolutely looking forward to it.
to the crate team and Mr. Bruno, thanks again for all your hard work and commitment to quality at both iron lore and your current project.
