Nightblade - about to enter Ultimate.

Short summaru of my clvl 75 Blademaster:
HP - 10,5k
DPS - 20,2 k (buffed)
Offensive Ability - almost 2300
res - elemental - max; rest - between 30 - 50 %
devotions: lion, throne, harpy, assassin, blades of nadaan, soldier, some in dryad

equipment - average I guess, a few legendaries and epic but nothing fancy or class specific. 2 x green dermapterans, lvl 70.

Any ideas guys before I enter Ultimate?:

  • Should I farm for any particular pieces of equipment in Elite? Where?

  • Shall I try to get Nemesis status with Cromley Gang now? I have Nemesis with Aetherials and Chthonians.

  • What devotions would you recommend - I am thinking of something defensive now - Dryad, Scales?

Cheers!

Keep leveling and collecting legendary items until you can farm Fabius. if you already cleared elite, you could try ultimate Act 1, which will give a lot of experience.

Better be focusing on the Defense during the gear building phase. The recommendation for Devotion would be turtle, Dryad, Scales, and then max DPS.

next all you need to do is farming Nemesis like Fabius until you think you are comfortable with Ultimate.

I don’t see why you need to farm Fabius a bunch to be able to do ultimate, get nemesis with him whenever you feel like it. I find grinding Cronley rep to be pretty damn boring, I would hold off until later to do it so I can do it much more quickly  I would just start ultimate asap and get the last of the levels/devo points.

Dryad skill, 3-5 points in scales, 2x 5% hp nodes in the middle, the 1st point of lion for 4% hp. I think on a fully and well built blademaster that is too much, but that will you give a lot of health and you can pop dryad pretty much asap when it comes off cd for 8%+350 hp healing every 4 seconds. Point in unknown solider for health + 3% lifesteal and the Oleron devotion (which I highly suggest using) gives 350 health, 20 pierce, 10 bleed, 4% physical resist as well!

Gear helps blademasters a lot, but not necessary!

Having your non elemental resists at 30-50% is not going to cut it at all. Get revered with factions and use your best resistance based gear + augments on everything. Aether and especially poison are very important in act 1, pierce is nice in general, and once you get to more into ultimate then chaos, vit, and to a somewhat smaller extent bleed will all become very important

You’ll likely want poison resistance up around 70+% before attempting Act 1 Ult. The poison enemies there always seem the most vicious (non-boss) part of the act to me.

Thanks guys

So i have to start leveling this dryad ability asap.

and get better equipment as mine is good for elite but poor for ultimare.

any specific locations would u recommend for farming in elite?

The areas with the most heroes :stuck_out_tongue: Steps is the best area if you’re nemesis with undead due to the high chance of running into moosilake, bastion is great as well. I also enjoy running croplands to the royal hive, fast run with guaranteed heroes/bosses

You can also spam farm the treasure trove in shrine of the forgotten god (or other areas but this one is best, fast and 100% spawn) to get a lot of hearts, brains etc and try your luck at crafting some legendaries with whats his face in Tyrant’s Hold

Just tried the shrine of forgotten gods - 3 runs and 1 heart.

Btw:

  • I have maxed Scars of Battle and Oleron Rage. What next in Soldier?

  • are there any rules on whqt items to keep and what not? In Diablo and TQ I feel there was less loot and it was less complex with all those stats.

I sometimes dont even bother to look at yellows - just sell all of them. I look at greens up. Or maybe I should check out more caefully yellow rings?

Not sure how troves scale with levels/difficulty, but in ultimate I’d say I get a purple mat at least 80% of the time probably a bit more

Besides scars/rage you should have 5 points in markovian’s advantage (no more as the chance will go above 20% and lessen your chance for your nightblade abilities) and max out military conditioning , fighting spirit, field command, and squad tactics. You won’t be able to afford all that without all the free points you get from proper gear, focus on conditioning if needed and then field command/fighting spirit. One point in blitz if you want double dashes for the super speed. One point in decorated soldier is okay if you have any +1 soldier stuff for a cute lil 8% ele res if that allows you to mix up your augments to get more of something else, otherwise it is poop and should not be used as it doesn’t offer much and scales very poorly

Rules to keep and what not to keep uhhh keep good items throw out shitty ones? Not sure what else to say. I keep any good empowered epics or awesome rares, ignore or sell the rest. Don’t even look at yellows at this point, you won’t find any good gear and you don’t get crap for selling em. Put your filter to green+, good greens can actually work out as gear. Faction rings should be fine until you get whatever else or get enough scrap/cash to spam craft some rings

Imo, Fighting spirit and squad tactics

Your game, your rule. I keep all epics and legendaries. And some rares. No yellows.

I dont even loot yellows.
Just lookout for some nice green rare affixes such as tyrants, officers, incorruptible…

I was looting yellows and sometimes even looking at them but it got so boring and tedious : ( i just set filter to green plus  but im not very lucky with drops.

Thanks guys for the tips !

yes agree about loot

Exactly. It’s like their purpose is to be sold only. And having to pause farming session due to bags full of yellows is no fun.
Me neither, all of legendaries i have found so far are not really applicable for my build.

A couple of my best leveling rings were “Resistant (or Impervious) Rings of Attack”. For a nice 20-30 resist to 2 different resists (40-60 total) and additional 40-60 OA. These are yellow rings. I also like “of Readiness” for some OA/DA mix. On a level 70 character I’d still be using a pair of yellow pants “Prismatic Exalted Chausses of Readiness” Stats: 1120 armour 40 OA 26 DA and 19% Elemental Resistances.

Are there better gear? Sure, but yellows can still be really nice.

They can be really nice sure. I mean a Resistant/Impervious of Vitality item can be super good (bonus if it has a base item monster ‘frequent’) Problem is that is really slows a player down to sort through yellow items - and there is minimal iron gain from it (as opposed to sorting through only green+, which almost always have at least a decent sell value)

I was using for a long time yellow chest armour with 76 OA, 31% fire res and 33% lightning res. Nothing fancy but I had nothing better at that time.

But now the sheer amount of yellows is incredible. I get my backpack full super fast. The sad thing is I can almost never see purples, greens - every once in a while (it migh be the case I sell up to 3 - 4 backpackfull of yellows without a single green drop :frowning: ) and blues - sae as greens :frowning:

Atm I am using 2 x Empowered Blackwatch Seal with realy high stats, good for my Blademaster. I had it dropped for me 5 or 6 times.

I have legendary chest and shoulder armour, and Epic boots and belt I guess. cannot tell off the top of my head.

EDIT: btw, speaking of poison and acid res - I ahve a nice collection of those small green jars granting these res and reducing status duration, lasting for 450 sec. so if all else fails i guess i csn always resort to them in most dangerous areas.

This is a really nice research you’ve done!

Do you think it would be worthwhile to try the same but in Elite?

There is a secret area in act 1 that you can easily farm on ultimate with your char. Go over the large bridge that connects Burrwitch village and estates. As soon as you pass the bridge, turn left (north). If there is a rock in the way, go trough the house. You can go into the river from the coast there, and then follow the river under the bridge and all the way to the cave. Trough the cave is a secret area with high level mobs, a few bosses, a one-shot chest and a guaranteed treasure trove. This is a great place to farm if you are too poor to run nemesis/BoC on ultimate. Get some aether, fire and poison resistance and the mobs should be no problem (they are just a general assortment of aetherials, but slightly higher level than in the Warden’s cellar).

As for your char, the stats look fine. Deathmarked weapons will provide a huge boost in dps when you get them, so will the Deathmarked hat. You can do well with lvl 70 reputation items (shoulders from Devil’s crossing shop and boots + gloves from the Rovers shop). Legion stuff gives physical resistance, so pick that up if you have trouble with act 2 ultimate.

Where would be the best place to farm deathmarked weapon and hat?

Thanx guy for the tips!

Btw, i hit ultimate and it was easy. I died 3 times to the final boss but only because i was rushing things and playing reckless - pressed for time.

in the evening i will try this act 1 farm

You collect hearts/bloods/brains, then gamble for a legendary melee weapon in Tyrant’s hold on elite. Don’t know if you have to be 75 to get it though, can someone confirm/deny?
