Nightblade's WP

Hello all!

Doing a Trickster now, but I have some doubts:

I - Savagery shows damage for both my weapons on the description. Does this mean that the thing 25% Right, 25% Left and 50% both weapon attacks don’t apply? Would this % only applied on regular attacks?

II - WPs like Shears and WD apply on top of Savagery? Or if they proc, Savagery doesn’t? In case they apply on top of it, there’s no downside of having at least one point on the WP right?

III - Does anyone tried Briathorn on a non-pet build? If he could survive 18 seconds, the aura is really good.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Don’t know how it really works.
  2. Yes, on top of Savagery
  3. He can’t.

BLUE! /10chars
Edit: Blue is hard to read, lets do Red!

  1. tooltip show some sort of criptic numbers. If you want to test dps do it with Dummy.
    2.Its multiplied by savagery .
For example in Kobra 2x Maldacarr trickster Execution proc deal 1.65(Savagery)*4(Execution)*1.2(9 charges)*2(hit with both hands) Weapon dmg, or 1584% weapon dmg.
Hits like a truck, I must say
Its still unclear how flat dmg from Savagery/firestrike and WPS interact.

Thanks for the replies!

So there’s no downside of me getting the WP if I’m dual wielding, right? Maybe even 1 point on Nidalla’s Hidded Hand for slow? xD

Too bad, the pet aura would be cool! He kind survived on the video but it was really close.

Do you guys think it’s worth putting 21 points on Savagery? Was thinking on leaving it on 16. 150 weapon damage vs 158. 42 lightning vs 62. I’ll convert the lightning damage to cold. And my build is starving for points.

Getting the points for Savagery is one of the best DPS increases you can do (short of RR) but its up to you…

Savagery does work fairly well even at just rank 16 though.

Could you explain me why? Can’t see a huge difference only by the numbers. Maybe I’m missing something.

Because %WD gets multiplied between Savagery and the WPS, it’s a source of the eternally rare multiplicative damage that’s hard to get reliably in GD, and makes those extra points in Savagery so valuable. It’s also why the Bloodrager’s hat is in such high demand.
