No Gold Storage message

I was attacked by bandits, and they stole 408 gold from the Trading Post. Note, I was building a Vault, but did not have the Iron to complete it.

After the gold was stolen, everytime I got gold through taxes, it would disappear and I got the message “No Gold Storage” and I would not have any gold for building or paying soldiers.

When I opened the Trading Post screen, there was no gold. However, when I opened the “Transfer Gold” button, 408 gold was shown in the Trading post but it could not be moved.

Needless to say, a year or so later more bandits came and killed most of the villagers and burnt half the houses because I could not pay for soldiers.

Another issue: When I start a new game I often see lakes, but when I place my Town Center, there is no water to be found. Why is that?

Thank you.

I’m guessing you didn’t have a Storehouse with Gold enabled?

Edit: Or one that wasn’t full

Yes, the storehouse was enabled for Gold and it was not full.

I loaded the last save before the Gold problem began. For the first few months the system worked, but then I started to get the message “No Gold Storage” and the Gold would disappear.

This time though, I managed to trade for Iron and was able to complete the Vault. The Gold problem stopped after the Vault was built.

On a side note, I kicked the bandits butts this time.
