No option to manually upgrade houses

I am playing a map where I am clay constrained. As a result I turned off “building auto upgrades” once I had enough desirability for my houses to upgrade past Homestead.

However I have since built several shelters and would like these upgraded to homesteads but I can not do this manually as there is no option to do this. The only way I can upgrade them is to turn on auto upgrades. If I do this however, all of my homesteads will also upgrade and my limited clay reserves will get used up instantly.

That option has never been available. Whether it will be at some point in the future … Atm auto upgrade is your only option to move housing to the next tier.

You would think that with how many playthroughs I have done at this point, I would have remembered that :stuck_out_tongue:
