Nocturne – Lazy, Budget, Player scaled Pets, Conjurer & Ritualist

Update -

.

Added a grimtools link for Ritualist as well.

Uses the same item and devotion setup.

Differences are components, augments and skills.

.

But yet we do not see that listed in the leveling section. Is it no longer ‘recommended’? If so, when?

The reason why it is not in the leveling section is because it is entirely optional and not required. It is still ideal to do so and hence the “recommended”, but you can choose not to and still be fine.

If going for briarthorn the order would be after 16/16 Hellhound > 16/16 Briarthorn > 1/10 Curse of Frailty…

Thank you for clarification! I am enjoying your builds as a first time Grim Dawner!

How do I use the zip files you posted? I tried unzipping them in both my ‘save’ folders inside the steam pathway and My Games>Documents saves pathway but they do not show up in game…even with steam cloud saves disabled.

So… I wanted to see how my Skulls & Bones - Pet Ritualist fared in the current patch…

Using my favourite test dummy as metric, I rolled my face on the keyboard and promptly died…

Apparently the act of taking a break from the game while stuffing face with ice cream does not do any favours for piloting skills.

So… went and tested my other “Skeleton” Ritualist - this one…

Results were pretty much as expected - the Ritualist version of Nocturne also holds up perfectly fine in Latest Patch just like the Conjurer version and performs similar to the Conjurer albeit being slightly weaker in terms of Defense. Yes, Callagadra is still very much facetankable outside of Sunder.

Look what I have for you here:

I see a full skill bar, consumables, multiple greens and a purple morgo ring…

just use good ol’ tree ishtak devo route trick

For Skulls & Bones - Pet Ritualist ?
I would be on yet another rant about necro skeletons being discriminated against if I experience that torture image

Why do that when you can get a beginner/budget setup that is only slower by 1min and is even tankier :stuck_out_tongue:

I highly doubt you would be willing to sacrifice damage to the same extent as me in pursuit of tankiness :sunglasses:. You could… but I would easier believe you becoming a pet builder and abandoning non pet builds

Nocturne is perfectly HC friendly, atleast upto SR40 :scorv:

Yes, it moves at a snail’s pace. But I never boasted DPS :stuck_out_tongue:

If you play my build at snail’s pace I am sure you can crawl thru SR 40 too :scorv:

But also I am just looking at your build and all I am seeing is more DA. Otherwise it has worse armor, worse sustain, much worse qol (those cc res means you can get chain cc-ed and die). Plus no layer of fumble from Oblivion. So you think it’s tankier by the virtue of having more DA and 8% absorb from Dark One? Because on top of having most of the important stuff at a worse level it also swings with 109% attack speed 40% slow res in melee range, which to me sounds like a death sentence.

Wendi-go-Tuturu is more capable than you seem to give it credit for, especially combined with DO’s bonuses.

And never look at MayaTM non pet builds, you already know what that entails from my Forcewave Warlord with Tree of Life.

I know, I used it. But so is full blown Bone Harvest that heals you to the full with each cast and Oblivion spam as well. Maybe you should try stress testing my spec :smiling_imp: (but it might be indeed less tanky somehow maybe because of DA and Wendigo Totem)

I can, actually. Send me the save, not much for me to do until FoA hits anyway
I actually do predict it being able to beat SR 40, in all seriousness. But maybe I can take it further and get it nerfed for the sake of true pet supremacy :scorv:
