I’ve played the game through 1 time on Veteran.
Now I wanna level another char and I’ve seen people saying Normal is quicker because the difference in the end is about 4-5 levels and in Normal we can rush through mobs quicker.
What is your opinion on this?
Also, does the loot difference matter much?
Play on Normal Mode if you want to save time. You really just want to get your 27 devotion points (come back to Normal later for the 28th & final point, which is locked behind Rover faction) and the free attribute/skill points from quests before moving on to Elite.
Veteran is great if you want to put your low-level character build to the test or increase your chance to get more low-level epics (more hero spawns in Vet). Otherwise, stick to Normal.
I have exclusively played veteran, for whatever reason I chose it for my first guy and it wasn’t very hard and just always played it. I like it since I end veteran (all quests and shrines) at lv48 or so, so I barely need to play elite with crap gear to level to 50.
Idk just how much time it really saves but I usually play through veteran all quests all shrines in about 7h to 8h
Normal can let you bulldoze to elite faster - although there is an argument to be made for ‘testing’ a character using veteran mode. Especially if playing Hardcore.
Only reason i play Veteran is to actually feel challenged. Even though Veteran is easy. But i found Veteran to be the right easy, not exactly challenging but it doesn’t make me fall asleep like Normal.
But yeah, if you just want to reach Elite and Ultimate, play Normal.
Obviously they’re not! They are levels in their own right with increased difficulty and why ask “why is there no non-veteran elite and ultimate,”
when that is what we have?
It’s like a bicycle see? Normal mode is your bicycle with training wheels on. Veteran mode is your bicycle with no training wheels. Elite mode is your bicycle with the back wheel missing. Ultimate mode is your bicycle with both wheels missing.
So why would you need training wheels when you’re riding your bike so well that you don’t need wheels at all?
Edit: After I went for a smoke and read this again I realized you were asking why they don’t have a more difficult Elite & Ultimate mode. There is a Veteran Elite & Ultimate mode. It’s called Hardcore mode.
