Yet another New Year`s Eve present from Crate - hats down once more. Really nothing more was needed Zantai, Thanks for reconsidering!
update: Also please, add some resitsts and DA to Dreeg and DM set… they desperately need it.

I’m gonna sound like a damn beggar but can Valdun get some more resists? Maybe Chaos resist on the chest? I don’t know, i feel is somewhat difficult to cap resistances with that set.
Not really, no.
As per what you quoted.
90% of non-casual, self-found, members, I said.
Which I will wager is quite accurate.
Upon further reflection, I’ll actually go ahead and somewhat refute Mamba’s assertion about Ultimate, too.
Ultimate is where the true game actually begins.
If you haven’t even gotten to where more than the most superfluous mechanics are even a factor, then you’re not even a casual - you’re literally a non-starter.
I do appreciate the intentions of the above mentioned soon to be applied hot fixes.
Hopefully they pan out proper-like.
yeah, somehow missed the non bit
my reply would be a better fit for the bottom part of your post
casuals would not even notice this change, because they never are affected by it…
Not so sure on that second part either… if you farm and play Crucible you probably do complete sets, so your 90% probably is more like 50%, but in any case, no one of these is even remotely casual

and this is where you go wrong, only 7.5% of players even make it to Ultimate (going by Steam achievements). So according to you 92.5% of players are non-starters…
I am ok with saying anyone who does not e.g. make it to act 3 in Normal is a non-starter, but if you make it to Ultimate you are the opposite of casual.
By the way, reaching act 3 Normal still would leave 60+% of players as non-starters (only 40.4% kill Cronley…). Heck, only 64.4% even reach level 10, how is that for non-starters
If you insist on 95% of players being non-starters, fine, but a change that only affects 5% of players will not drive the majority of players away or even affect them (“the rest move on”), chances are they aren’t even around any more at this point…
The devs for this game have a sound mind and ear when it comes to the community and they are making the game each patch more and more enjoyable and adding stuff to devotions / blue and purple gear (like more resists) to allow wider range of gear selections.
It just takes time to get another patch up and running and they are working to do that while taking up our suggestions and also keeping the ultimate end game challenging enough to not become boring and a sleepwalk.
I applaud Zantai and co. for such diligence.
Now I know I’m not the target audience of this game and that I have to look for another ARPG.
What audience are you (or what do you consider yourself), again?
Casual (not liking hardcore elements like boss that 1-shoot you and a lot of other things in this game).
Zantai statement about Casual players not supposed to reach Ultimate is a confirmation.
He merely pointed out the objective reality that players in ultimate are not the casual playerbase. He never said it was supposed to be that way, only that it is that way.
Considering endgame bosses for what they are (endgame bosses), rather than what they were (endgame bosses that couldn’t crit you).
Except they could crit you before, unless I’m mistaken/was simply running toons with relatively low DA before the patch. Now they can crit you a LOT MORE.
Wait, i thought that whole “OA thing” was done by mistake by one of the devs. And then, he tried to fix it.
But when I read threads about it, everyone speaks of it as a voluntary and conscious change. Did I missed something?
They overbuffed enemy OA by mistake but then revert it, most of it. Enemies still got a buff to OA, specially Nemesis which got a considerable boost to it.
It was an intentional change, that seems to be what you missed
It was toned down somewhat, if it had been a mistake, they would have undone it
The change was deliberate. It was later toned back based on feedback.
Ok. Thanks guys.
It’s awesome to hear that upcoming DA bonuses will be mainly from devotions, since casters have such limited options for DA from their abilities and equipment. Squishy non-melee builds need crit protection just as much as melee builds, if not even more so.
Will the Nemesis OA reduction affect Crucible as well, or just the ones spawned on campaign maps?
Oh ok. I guess I’m in some kind of twilight area where my characters are good enough to progress to Ultimate but not so good that the change in OA in 1.0.0.7 still feels fair. It was enough to hurt their survivability in a really noticeable way.
It feels unbalanced, but of course that’s because I built my current batch of characters with the previous patch. When I start new chars under 1.0.0.7, I’m sure I would adjust accordingly right from the start to keep them viable.
And why i have to Raise my DA from unbfuffed 1980~ up to almost 2300.
Overall Forced to use more DA for some reason. Losing more DPS then expected. My Builds are not glasscanonbuilds for sure.
2 Zantarin for Exempel in Crucible Gladiator as Melee = instadeath if u Charge in and just in Moment they start to shoot. there is nothing u can do. that happend several times on my SC. So if i meet them both at once on HC i instaquit. GG - im talking about DW Melee.
I deal with the stuff how it is ingame. but some things dont feel right. but there is something off i cant tell if its OA - DA or expecially something with Zantarin. but hitting harder as before for sure.
Moosilauke hits harder then before. Valdaran also deals more. Fabius & Ben are fine.
that wasnt a issue on 1.0.0.6 - it wasnt overpowered faceroll aswell it was doable with risk. and not how it is now to know - i die.
