Hi all,
Quick oathkeeper question. Will Dreeg’s Reproach, which applies conversion to Righteous Fervor, also affect Safeguard, Smite, and Shattering Smash when they proc? If not, doesn’t that make those three kinda useless when using Dreeg’s Reproach?
Thanks!
Safeguard adds flat Physical to your weapon. This will be fully converted to Acid on Righteous Fervor with Dreeg’s Reproach but will remain as Physical damage elsewhere or subject to other forms of conversion (such as Physical->Acid on gear).
Smite and Shattering Shield’s additional damage (Physical, Fire and Internal Trauma) will not be converted by Dreeg’s Reproach as far as I know.
Thanks, good to know! Seems kinda odd though.
Safeguard’s damage is a shield bonus so I don’t think it will actually be impacted by Dreeg’s Reproach since that skill line doesn’t attack with the shield but with your default weapon attack. The damage from Safeguard is applied to skills that actually use the shield while the Armor will increase your armor for all items like a belt.
Safeguard, Smite, Shattering Smash will all be effected by Path of the Three and other instances of Conversion via items/skills/etc…
WPS in general need mods for that. Unless you somehow get 100% global conversion for your desired element
I was under the impression Safeguard’s damage effected your main hand but had a Shield requirement (like old Shield Training) but it seems you’re right going off of it’s skill description.
If it just effects skills that use your Shield for damage, seems like it won’t be seen in builds all that much :undecided:.
"Smite and Shattering Shield’s additional damage (Physical, Fire and Internal Trauma) will not be converted by Dreeg’s Reproach as far as I know. "
Is this really the case? Righteous Fervor is a default attack replayer. With Dreeg’s Reproach it converts your damage done by your default attacks. Smite for instance is a weapon pool skill and therefore the fire and physical damage must be converted because it stacks with DAR’s?
