Actually tried that thing before back when SnB melee’s were hot shit for a moment and was kinda disappointed. Now revisiting it since DEE working whacky with 2H meant it works 40% of times with shield’s flat.
So by looking at the item carefully you may notice that it has the lowest %damage of all shields. Even lvl84 ones have more damage. Even lvl84 retal acid shield has more damage. Even Wrathguard, for Dreeg’s sake has more damage.
Another thing that bring tears to ones eyes is the proc. 5/8 uptime on a 30% block chance means something like 5/10 in best case scenarios. But even then its simply underwhelming. Its effectively 25% damage (still less than both other acid shields btw) and 22 flat. Sure flat is global, but its nothing to be excited about. Also that 1425 flat acid retal is kinda of an eyesore. I propose doing several of the following:
Increase proc chance;
Increase duration;
Remove %damage and instead add something uniquely offensive to it (since the item’s identity is to be damage-focused), maybe 20%rr? Acid doesn’t have any access to it, would be kinda interesting;
Increase them numbers on proc (boring);
I think its reasonable to have this more focused on damage and henceforth impoved, because currently Defender of the Three or Bramblevine just blow it out the water with their’s defensive stats why not losing that much in offence.
Agree, if I am not getting massive phys res or cooldown reduction when taking this shield (not only that, but because you are not dual-wielding as a Dervish you are also losing out on phys res from Dual Blades and faster healing on Pneumatic Burst) I better be getting some elephant steroids into my offense.
Not to mention that going from dual-wielding to snb on a Dervish means less wps that means less consistent dps and leech.
I like it much more now, the identity is there.
The only thing that feels off is 70 degree arc, its way too low for any semblance of aoe, against non-human sized enemies its basically a single-target hit and build already has very low aoe (even by SnB standarts. Bump it up to at least 100 degrees.
