Occultist without DEE build. Is possible?

Hi all dear guys,

i would just make a new run in GD with an occultist but, really, i don’t like DEE.

I saw that Solael Witchfire increase damage only on weapon damage so using any skill that replace default weapon attack i loose his bonus.

SO
-i would use Solael Witchfire
-i don’t want use DEE

  • in general i want use chaos and vitality damage

I thought something like this

Really Bloody Pox also is a fantastic spell for me…

But i have a lots of questions

Melee or ranged?
Shaman is really a good second class for occultist?

Made a Doom Bolt Conjurer. Yes it is possible and it’s very solid damage and tankyness

Vitality Conjurer with Doom Bolt/Sigil Consumption/Devouring Swarm kicks ass. Not exactly fast clear speed but really tanky and not very gear dependant.

Some more options
Vit/Fire/Chaos pyromancer based around destruction sigils, bwc, and the various support spells.
Vitality based melee with 2h or dw as a conjurer
Chaos/vit dw witch hunter
Chaos/fire melee pyromancer

You can also convert all the flat chaos into aether damage with the right gear and melee aether witch hunter or warlock

I saw some Chaos Melee guy (with Soldier) that looked pretty good also.

The obvious Pet build as a Conjurer is obviously an Occultist without DEE also.
