But as far as I can tell, there is no reason to. I have a substantially larger % physical damage bonus than I do a % chaos damage bonus. Armor is a factor I suppose, but Curse of Frailty reduces physical resistance while doing nothing for Chaos damage, and there are procs like Manticore that reduce enemy armor.
Well it’d just be a different build and probably hard to respec/regear for. You can certainly scale chaos damage and grab solael’s witchblade devotion for -chaos res. But theres probably better masteries to do that with than shaman.
You might wana roll a seperate build to play around with that
If it will lower your DPS then no, it’s not useful.
If it raises your DPS then yes, it’s useful.
If your effective DPS wills stay about the same, then it’s nice for more damage type diversity.
