Yeah it’s super cool to see the pledges are still coming in even after they hit the goal, though it could be people who are just now hearing about the project due to it hitting it’s mark.
It kinda reminds me of a thing I read ages ago where medierra (I think?) mentioned how the Titan Quest sales just kept on truckin’ over time.
Absolutely. These things often just take a bit of time to build momentum, then players share with friends who share with firends etc. You also get people who meant to pledge but just needed a reminder to do it. Anyway, happy to see GD get past it’s target. Moar money = moar awesome assets and gameplay! \o/
Eh guys, what about the $100k messiah now that we’ve reach the goal ? Could we say that we officially have 100k more than the Kickstarter total (in order to reach the 450k goal) ?
we have no idea about him or not, yes its a lot of money he might donate, but I seen nothing from him in the comments on KS, so really not a clue if he still up to donating that amount, maybe med might be able to say more?
Watching the KS page every time I am near a computer did not stop once the goal was reached. And it is impressive how much it has climbed since.
To everybody that was spreading the word, don’t stop now!

I’m happy that the Kickstarter went this well this fast.
The Kickstarter bubble is going to pop soon, now that larger studios are also eyeing it. Soon we’ll be paying 60$ to pre-order, oh sorry, I mean “fund” the next Call of Duty game.
This will ruin it for all the studios that actually need the money to develop a game as people will stop trusting Kickstarter projects.
I was just watching the new class Path of Exile showed today by letting TotalBiscuit play it on youtube.
Then I was wondering wether this was possible for Grim Dawn, IF there is already enough material that he could playthrough. That would be an immense boost in publicity.

It all comes down to doing a little research before investing in a kickstarter project. The voting wallets can always choose to only invest in independent studios.
But I do really expect the bubble to pop soon. Too many success stories and it is going to get flooded so much that finding the diamonds is going to require word of mouth. And lets not even talk about the con artists…

That new update video. My god this game looks amazing. It has exactly what I feel is missing in most of ARPGs I’ve been seeing lately, attacks that feel and look really meaty. Every offensive action in that trailer really had an almost tangible impact. I can’t get enough.

Almost at $300,000 now, I have a feeling that the word about how great this game looks and plays I bet is starting to really spread. I think that number is going to climb alot more. Keep up the great work guys and I hope that interview went well.

On another note, we hit 280k about… 2:40 yesterday? And about a day and 8-9 hours later we’ve jumped nearly 20k. What are our bets for say 1200 ET tomorrow?
