Bad luck or maybe I need another 10,000 hours in game.
this is sooooo frustrating: We need more ways to acquire legendaries.
Maybe have increased drop rates when you kill multiple packs of heroes.
Or all legendaries have the same drop chance.
crucible = blah for me.
Don’t even want to try my luck with the smith in tyrants hold. I might be inclined to try if we were able to store our unique crafting materials in the common storage area for all characters to use.
the best i have is iskandras at 4 pieces.
Yet to see a single warborne. etc etc etc
have like 1-3 of each set. Not to worry I have 9 crescent moons.
yea, it’s a big complaint about the game is the potential grind for getting a set.
I’ve personally recommended that we can re-roll any piece of a legendary set into another piece of that set, at a high cost. Would mean getting dupes isn’t such a letdown, because it’s surefire progress to getting the full set. It just means you need a major investment of resources attempt a successful conversion of it into that other piece.
The worst thing about the legendary sets are the helms. All of them (i think all of them) require a blueprint and that means having to farm Nemeses to get a better chance at getting them.
I haven’t completed some legendary sets because i haven’t dropped the blueprints for the helms. While i already have the rest of the set.
Wrong. There is literally only a single legendary helm in the game that can drop without the BP, and that is the Outcast Secret. It’s entirely unique in this.
No, they can’t. You can only get legendary helms through crafting with a blueprint. I haven’t dropped a single legendary helm in over 800 hours of playtime and pretty sure Zantai said you can only get them through blueprints.
The only exception i think is Outcast Secret since it has no blueprint in Gracefuldusk.
Same, 1200 hours. Out of 5pc sets only got Ultos, and only because my friend gifted me shoulders. Out of 4pc sets got Beastmaster, but summoners in GD aren’t my thing.
As i said earlier, game should record what is dropped and what is not (maybe it should also consider items in stash and sold ones). Then it should adjust drop rates accordingly. Since this is not a mmo, it does not affect Crate’s profits and it would make community happy. Checking game session for drops and rolling once more if same item is rolled is not enough and will never be enough.
1-There is no “secure” way in this game especially by playing game content and doing lots of “unlocked by rare mats” dungeons. This should be enough especially for that time frame unless he is really really doing something wrong. Game reward mechanics are just plain bad. Either factions should start selling a few legendaries by only buyable with a new currency obtained by bounties (here is your new “bounty” system) or game should change rolling mechanisms. It only rolls one more if same item dropped in the game session and that is it. It is not enough.
2- Tyrants hold crafter was never a reliable and good source of legendaries and it is not now too. Probably you would get more of same legendaries from that guy… Crucible is DLC thus it can only be another way, not the “best” way for sets. Thus your example fails. Farming must not be based around dlc. Game itself must be enough especially for that hours spent.
I don’t understand why people think that Challenger can be done by a lot of builds. The only time I went there I lost my pretty durable Blade Arc Warder. Sure, wasn’t the best of my builds, but cleared ultimate easily and was dressed in mostly legendary items, 17k hp, 2.5k DA, defensive devotions, etc.
Sadly since then I didn’t had a character I’m confident about. Now I’m levelling a new Warder, which would receive a full Ultos set. It’s not exactly fair, because we’re talking about builds that actually don’t have sets and need to farm them somehow. But if full-Ultos Savagery Warder will die during Challenger farming then it will basically prove that some people here had played for so long and got so used to legendaries raining at them in crucible that they don’t have an idea how long does it takes to get to this point anymore. Pretty much there are two type of players - those who farm crucible and those who struggle to get to the power level needed to farm crucible.
That’s probably more an HC issue than a Crucible issue, since in SC you get plenty of good loot even for “failing” Challenger as long as you’ve made good progress. Crucible is just very HC-unfriendly. Also, Crucible is an absolute joke in multiplayer: instant legendaries just for showing up.
@OP: It’s not about # hours but how you spend those hours. It only took maybe a few hundred hours at most between Crucible and dynamite + Tyrant’s Hold to obtain all the legendaries I’d ever need. MIs on the other hand…
1800 hours? I’ll be there very soon which means you should probably have at least 15 legendary helmet blueprints found by now.
As for the others I have a never-trash-a-set-piece policy and I found tons and tons, but also gamble away my rare ingredients quite a bit lol, great way to get legendaries set armor since the armor pool isn’t so big.
Also when you can make rare helmets try legit trading them for other key pieces you are missing.
Yeah I did that too, but after 800hours i decided to start trading.
I dont do it via the forums tho, I usually find games intended for trading.
some examples of game names:
Trade
Need Warborn xxxx
Bring Heart of the Mountain
I’ve saved SO much time doing this.
but yeah if you’re adament about the Selffound part, you’re in it for the loooooong haul.
So much so that I believe the new level cap and new legendaries(with new lvl cap I presume) will come out before you complete any set, and you get to start all over again.
When you die in the crucible (in SC), the highest level chest is removed from the treasure room. I’ve only ever found one legendary item after dying in higher crucible levels, so it really isn’t that cheap. Death rewards generally amount to a cash reward.
I have yet to find a legendary after dying in the Crucible.
But yeah, “you can”.
One thing I do now to help myself a bit is not using AT ALL the blueprints I drop, until I get one I really need (for a set I use), the others are waiting in the stash and maybe one day I’ll add them. I’m glad the loot were a bit upped up but since it’s so hard to gather them, no way I’m moving down the %.
(and yeah, +1 for the xpac and the problem of having more stuff that can drop :p)
