grim dawn encourages players to try different builds to utilize the greens, epics, and legendaries they randomly get through their playthroughs. this permanent boosts will be some kind of mini achievement that is shared between characters as a little incentive for players to try out all masteries and lvl it to lvl 100.
here’s how it works:
- player choose occultist and nightblade mastery
- player levels the character to lvl 100.
- player get bonus craft materials drop rate% from chthonic (occultist knows a lot about chthonians) and human (nightblade knows human anatomy thoroughly) enemies.
- now all of the player’s characters from all masteries will get the bonus craft materials drop rate% from chthonian and human enemies.
common materials will get decent bonus drop rate%, while rare materials will only get a miniscule bonus drop rate%, so as to keep replayability fresh but still feel rewarding. this functions as some kind of trophy room/end game achievements that will make players feel slightly more rewarded for learning and and mastering all masteries.
