Play a distinct sound upon a legendary dropping.

Mostly the title, but for some builds, especially with the camera issues going on right now at longer zoom distances, it is VERY easy to have items flat out not be seen after they drop because it doesn’t show a icon at all. You know what really sucks? When that item is a legendary. Know what sucks worse? When you never even realize it dropped, and move on.

It’s pretty bad for builds with either long DoTs that pretty much will always kill the target after being applied, although it might take some time, builds with massive range potential, being able to kill off-screen enemies, or builds that have both at once going on. I mean, you generally pay close attention to heros and greater, but for trash, you very well know its going to die well before you may even notice it’s there, even at very long ranges. I know for a fact on my current build, which has about an 18 meter range of damage not even counting Fissure proccing far off in the distance, or me running after popping OFF, I can kill a target at max range, and it’s items will not show up on the ground.

sure, why not.

I’d have to agree with this. It’s one of the few things The-Game-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named did correctly imo.

Diablo 3. say what you want about it, but they got a lot of stuff right. rifts, paragons, artisans and on topic, beamz and sound.

Kill the non-believer!

Uhhh we’ll have to agree to disagree. It’s not quite deserving of being part of the Diablo series in my eyes, as 80% of the game since launch has been an embarrassing, streamlined cash grab aimed at the most casual of gamers.

But, I’m not going to derail the thread. I’d be better off going the rant forum if I was going to post about D3.
