Problems with Crucible

Hey guys, ive done about 15 runs on the crucible and there are some issues id like to see fixed.

Of the 4 maps, so far only 1 of them seems to be viable for my build and its probably the most viable for the majority.

  • Viable
  • Crucible of the Deeps - Open, actually symmetrical, towers placements seem appropriate and of use.
  • Semi Viable
  • Crucible of the Sands - Not the worst, can have some pathing issues, top left spawn having problems with enemies being stuck behind the column in spawn. One of the towers placements seems useless. The ring can be a problem at times but it could also just enable different play style.
  • No thanks never again
  • Crucible of the Grove - Map design and Pathing issues ridiculous, lose x10 multiplier from not having 1000% movement speed to run around in early stages just to find all the lost critters.

Crucible of the Dead - No comment, only had 1 play on it so dont have enough experience to comment.

  • General Problems
  • Critters hanging out in spawn
  • Critters going to random places of map
  • Stationary critters ( i know others are having this problem) - Losing so many multpliers cos when youre hacking down the wave you fail to notice the aetherial terraformers and herald that have spawned and arent coming to you, also why put stars on summoned critters and crytals that arent actually important (i assume its just scripted so all enemies always have an objective star but its kind of annoying you dont know whether to worry about that lone zombie by himself or did he come from an abomination.)
  • Stationary Critters spawning deep in acid (?) spawn areas - I just lost my last multplier like this, 3 aether terras in one spawn im melee and it was very deep wouldnt have been as big of a deal if i knew it was a stationary monster and factored that into killing the wave.
  • Heavily stacked for AoE (arent all these games though)
  • Pathing issues
  • Loot reward for time spent - Its just not worth it i just got rekt on wave 100 from not paying attention to my hp bar and after all that time i got 1 legendary, i can farm 3 nemesis in that time. I dont care about white yellow green and most blue or the coins.
  • Possible fixes?
  • Remove acid from spawn so we can deal with the critters staying still and the stationary ones spawning inside - Worried about spawn camping? AoE builds get to anyway so why shouldnt melee?
  • Add a symbol for stationary monsters - Like a tower symbol or something i dunno, anything to indicate that its not coming to you while youre amongst your defense buff and attack towers killing the wave. Theres only those aether terra style ones that are stationary in the entire game right? so its not a lot to change?
  • OR
  • Make stationary monsters spawn within the crucible - Like within within, or make stationary monsters only spawn in the center spawn of the crucible.
  • Make crucible map selection an option - Youre not stopping me only playing Crucible of the Deeps by making the map random, i just have to reload a bunch of times all youre doing is wasting my time.
  • OR
  • Improve maps so that theyre more open honestly im not gonna keep playing if i get to level 74 and lose my x10 because one critters keeps hiding in a nook of a wall thats on the other side that i cant blitz to, that your aoe wont pass through. This is a highscore style mini game, if the highscore attempt gets interrupted by problems with the maps or scripting or spawns whats the point.

Anyway thats enough for now, im sure im gonna cop a lot of flak about all my noobness anyway.

I like the crucible, i like grim dawn, its worth its weight in gold.
