Problems with using the main map

I’ve been trying to use and edit the main map of the game for modding, however i am stuck:

Either i can fully view the map in the editor, but not save my changes to it OR
have a working replica of the map(using GlockenGerda’s files) which can be modified but is without a ground. (so the player cannot move because he has nothing to stand on; the buildings and npcs are visible)

In order to view the map in the editor, i just copied the world001.map file out of the game’s extracted resources into one of my mod source dictionaries and renamed it to world001.wrl.
However, i do not know how i managed to create the second scenario, nor do i know how to add the ground back to it.

If anyone managed to load and save to the main map of the game, in order to use it in your mod, please let me know how you did it.

Did you use GlockenGerdas compiler ?
You don’t need to use the old files, you need only to rename the path in the .bat file. The compiler creates you a new folder, that contains all the maps.
The readme in GlockeGerdas tool explain really well, what you have to do.
I have tested the tool and had zero problems.

Here is GlockenGerdas Thread:

Actually meant something different, but it seems your link is what i’m looking for. Thank you for the reply!

Np, if you have still problems to save your changes, remove the read only for the modfolder - that contains your new main world.
