Perhaps you could change the reflect effect to something more visible, the ones on the mages is pretty hard to see. Something like Turtle Shell’s effect in another color would make it easily recognizable, just an idea.
I disagree with taking out reflect from the game, it would remove a skill/awareness factor from the game. I don’t think it’s that big a problem either, most of my characters are in the 30-70k tooltip DPS range and I usually manage to deal with reflect without too much trouble.
Well I’m not going to try to convince anyone, just going to keep adjusting it until it feels good, or remove it completely if we find it can’t. Hmm I wonder if I can assign a particle effect to a suffix or passive ability. If so I could make all reflect visible.
Well spoilers -
Technically everything we’ve done for 3.2 is available via the github repository so… yeah. But if you download that you won’tt have the patch notes.
The only sets of epics left to do a buff run are sceptres and rifles/xbows…which we should be able to do tonight.
After that we will ask volunteers to do closed testing (give them access to patch notes and ask them to look at specific stuff)
So… releasing within a week probably? It’s what I’m shooting for.
I tried installing from the raw files (I was impatient to see!) and managed to somehow blow up my entire Grim Dawn install - except my saved games thankfully.
Cornucopia 0.3.2. has now entered closed testing. Please PM Ceno and I (both of us, not one of us) if you’re interested in helping us make it better before public release.
This is 0.3.2. in a state Ceno and I have barely played asides from making sure most of our changes work. This version just ended up being so vast that there’s no way we can test it by ourselves within a reasonable amount of time.
All we ask of those who want to help us test, is that they can commit to putting in a reasonable amount of time playing the version, that they are willing to test specific things if we ask it of them (we probably won’t and if we do it should be pretty minimal) and that you give us as much feedback as possible based on the patch-notes (we’ll provide a link) and game-play experience. It would be preferred that you start new characters or play your characters under level 75.
We did a lot more in this patch than just make epics better, although that was the focus, and it is my personal favorite so far. Thanks for the interest and support everyone.
And please continue to use this thread to ask us about how development is going or what we have planned for the next edition of Cornucopia. Thanks for all the support everyone.
