Quality of Life Change: Symbol for Bloody Pox

As a huge fan of the occultist class, this is a small tweak I hope that the Devs could consider.

Curse of Frailty has a distinct animation (symbol on the enemy) that shows who is unlucky enough to get cursed, I think Bloody Pox and its progeny should receive something similar as well

Bloody Pox is a “contagion” skill that spreads from a single target to rest of the mobs. I kind of need to consider who gets the “pox” so it can spread and in which direction. Also, I would like to make sure that this debuff gets applied to the RIGHT enemy (e.g. obsidian and leeches) since I can’t spam this like Curse of Frailty.

The only indication I have so far with this skill is the constant degen and the confusion effect from my Black Death modifier. But it is hard for me to tell if the enemy is losing hp due to poison or my bloody pox.

My suggestions:

  1. A red mist around the enemy or those afflicted.
  2. A small coloration to the confusion effect, but make the “halo” red or green.
  3. Add color to the damage font (e.g. orange or red) to show that it is under a different damage effect (like critical strikes).
  4. Some kind of “ground effect” underfoot of the enemy effected.

This is just a small quality of life change, I hope Devs will consider it.

Frankly, I’m surprised that not all buffs and debuffs have an icon or animation of some sort that shows if have been applied. Sometimes I get hit and stand there, and I think, “Did I break my mouse?” Then I realize I’m stunned but I’d never know it from looking at the UI.

Ummmmm…

This already exists. How do you not notice it?

It might just be harder for some to see. I imagine it blends into some backgrounds for the colorblind. I test really well on distinguishing colors and I have a hard time noticing it in general.

Upon closer inspection (without using any other skill), I do notice the bloody outline on a single enemy.

I was hoping for a better symbol or representation, maybe like the Fetid Pool effect but standing in a puddle of blood?
