Question about making undergrounds

Hello people!!!

Right now I’m practicing how to make dungeons (for The Isle Mod)… I have experience modding in TQ using Grids.

I’ll have many questions  but right know is just about distances.

I saw Crate people “hide” the terrain borders using rocks and other things:

I’m using a 1280*1024 monitor, what is the recomended distance betwen the terrain border and the walls?

Thank you for your answers!!!

Not answer… jejeje, I started by myself using a 128*128 terrain, as we say in spanish:

“better more than less”

Hard to say at your resolution, but my reference distance is typically:

  1. activate default camera/zoom
  2. move the view as close to the wall as the player could reach
  3. 3 clicks with the mouse wheel to zoom out
  4. if I see edge of the world, needs MORE rocks

It’s not a hard answer of X meters, as it will vary based on elevation.

Muchas Gracias Zantai!!!

That what I’ll do…

please check our project, maybe you could provide us some tips or advices:

Thank you Zantai for your help…

What do you say guys?

Question… where are the game maps files of the game?

Wouldn’t it be in Grim Dawn/resources/levels.arc?

Thank you Caleb.

I have another question. If you want to add a new mission to the core game, do you have to import all the maps to put ir in the map arc?

Or with the new changes anunced by Zantai it will be possible by another way? (no more custom game)

What is the tool on the editor to paint wheels lines on the floor?

Like this:

Thank you.

They are decals.
