Question about Raveger of flesh

I dont see him having any other special attacks other than few projectiles(blue homing) or the big projetile that circles around.His normal attack onshot me

What makes you think you ā€œreduce his damage by 33%ā€? Do you mean Ulzuin’s Wrath? It won’t proc if he’s the only enemy AND is in range of Vindictive Flame’s AoE.

Also i see in his passive he have as bonus +3092 Armor which is the exact amount he have so the Passive bonus

1090-1448 Physical Damage should be included in the weapon attack calculation which is Weapon Attack

Yeah my bad didnt saw that but even without that reduction his numbers in grimtools are nowhere near 13 k damage :slight_smile:

I may be pulling this outta my ass, but I think monsters have some damage scaling beyond just raw numbers provided in GT? Like some hardcoded mechanic that gives +10% all damage per level or something…

If you are asking if i am familiar with his builds,yeah i do know him and i have 4 chars that can kill Ravager.My problem is that i dont understand what are the mecanichs/stats of Ravager so that i can plan my fights and setups better thats all :slight_smile:

No, I’m just pinging him, he’s made a great guide on bosses recently where he analizes all Ravager so I thought maybe he could chime in.

14%-55% = -41% during his ā€œeyeā€ debuff, that’s correct.

How if I may ask? The only thing I see is ulzuins wrath (31%), which doesn’t work vs Ravager due to the mechanics of the skill. So from what I can see you have 0 dmg reduction, -41% phys res

Let’s break his dmg down (I will only look at physical damage, rest is negligable anyway), this is his base damage


The % scaling adds up to +93% physical damage (grimtools shows 95% for some reason), which scales up his weapon attack to rav2
So far this seems to be correct, however the scaling from cunning is NOT shown in grimtools for monsters (only for player characters). Ravager has 1336 cunning at level 112. Now if you check out how much that scales physical damage in the build calc, you will get
so +544% at 1333 cunning.

Let’s add that to the above damage so (93%+544%) x base damage = 6.37 x 1623 (high roll) = 10339 physical damage. Now add 20% total damage mod at <50%


10339 x 1.2 = 12406 physical damage. You have -41% phys res so another 1.41 multiplier => 17493 physical damage (on high roll). You have 0% damage reduction, so you would take 17492 physical damage on a high roll, which will get reduced by armor before the physical res multiplier.
You have 2419 armor in GT so your char will take betweeen 14357 (high roll) and 9967 (low roll) physical damage per hit during debuffs and enrage… even without any crits.

At least according to my maybe scuffed calculations :smiley:

Edit: I forgot the base 100% in the above calculation, it should say:
((100%+93%+544%) x base damage x 1.41) - armor) x 1.41
Which results in 16828 (high roll) and 11828 (low roll) damage during debuffs and enrage without crits.

TL;DR you simply don’t have enough phys res / HP / armor and you have no damage reduction that applies on ravager at all.

I think you even forgot about base 100% damage, just added 95% and 544% bonuses
so I think in the step before armor it’s around 17767 (1 + 100% / (93%+554%) ) ~ 20513
And then high roll 20513 - 2419 ~ 18094

I calculated 16828 (high roll) and 11828 (low roll) after armor now.

Well that is the missing part :slight_smile: me and few others assumed that if bonus is shown for player characters it does so for monsters :slight_smile: Thank you for that part.
