Question about Upheaval and Feral Hunger

Not sure if my considerations/calculations are correct so have to ask:

If I take Upheaval Feral Hunger can never crit because if I land a critical hit it will automatically be Upheaval, correct?

Say, I really want to have a chance critting with Feral Hunger and other attacks (because of better Damage Output) and Upheaval is a “1/0”-skill (either 100 % or 0 %), I have to completely ignore Upheaval, right?

Maybe stupid questions, but be patient, it will be my 1st 2H-build.

Thanks for help.

Ah not quite. I forgot how it goes exactly but Upheval procs if you crit and don’t proc WPS.

It’s the other way around. You can completely make upheaval useless if you add too much wps.

There was a problem with it back in the DA explit era and Z fixed it. Idk what it was

But you can use upheaval without any worries

EDit:

Fixed an issue where Upheaval would not damage the primary target.
Fixed an issue where Upheaval would result in basic attacks being possible in a scenario where the character has 100%+ chance to activate Weapon Pool Skills.

there it was

Thanks, that helps.

Yeah, if you want to invest in Upheaval, make sure you don’t get too many WPS. On my Avenger’s Warder, I took Zolhan’s Technique (obviously) and Feral Hunger, but skipped Markovian’s Advantage for this reason.
